Adorable ridge top cabin five miles from Ohio University and 12 miles to Bailey’s Trail System! Down the road from Stroud’s Run State Park & Dow Lake and Uptown Athens. Half hour drive to Hocking Hills. Fully equipped cabin ready for your enjoyment! When visiting your Bobcat make use of the fully equipped kitchen for a home cooked meal, or take advantage of the many local restaurants.

Karl and Eileen thought of everything! From providing plenty of fluffy towels, several cozy throw blankets, the best stocked coffee/tea bar I've ever experienced in a rental, a washer and dryer for our Bobcat to do her laundry for free (she was thrilled!), fun ice cube trays along with stocked ice containers, a filtered water pitcher, extra wood for the adorable firepit area, indoor and outdoor games, so many great books -- I could go on and on!

We enjoyed the nature, a bonfire, the vista on the ridge. The kitchen was well stocked. The living room was comfortable but an upgrade on the lounge chair and better lighting for reading would be good. The bathroom and shower seemed updated and good condition. We used the bedroom with the 2 single beds but one of the beds squeaked, annoying.

Gravel driveway and surrounding yard was well maintained. Entry into the home was easy and the interior was immaculate. Very impressed with the details of this cozy cabin. Even down to the fantastic towels. Kitchen, including the refrigerator, and the bathrooms were spotless. Would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Athens.

Perfectly convenient stay just a smidge outside of the hustle and bustle of Campus traffic!An adorable, comfortable & relaxing cabin-Bean’s place was perfect for our Bobcat family during move in. Everything you need with a little charming influence of Athens as well. We enjoyed the fire pit and cornhole boards as well as the quiet neighborhood overlooking Athens. Easy to get to OU in less than 15 minutes this stay is now at the top of our Trip list for the future.

We had booked it for 5 days, we left after one night because It was the middle of winter and there wasn’t any heat, didn’t get above 58 degrees. I only received a partial refund, I would have given the full amount back. Wouldn’t recommend in the cold weather months

Super quiet place

Very nice cabin with no traffic. Road was very curvy. Beautiful views. Close to OU but in the country. Backyard cute but it rained the whole weekend. Kleenex was the only thing missing. Check out a breeze

Nice cabin close to Athens

We stayed here while visiting our daughter at OU. It’s a cute little cabin with a nice outdoor space. The kitchen was well stocked, including coffee and creamer. It’s a quick drive to Athens.

Great cozy cabin near Ohio University and Athens

We had a great stay on a cold snowy weekend. The owners were great at communicating, and were very flexible with our situation, which I really appreciate. The cabin was well-stocked with coffee/tea/hot chocolate, and the laundry and fire pit with wood were nice bonuses. Would definitely stay again.

Easy to see why Bean's Place is rated "EXCEPTIONAL"

We feel lucky to have happened upon this most cozy of cottages. There is so much to delight in, but what comes to mind first is the warm entry decorated with seasonal lights, the window boxes of flowers, the beautiful, quality throws on each bed and the surprise treasure of chocolates in the canister on the kitchen table. It rained our whole trip, preventing us from enjoying the outside, but the inside was so nice that we still felt like we were winning. We hope to have the chance to stay again!

Athens Excuse

I’m so sad that my son will be graduating from OU in the spring and that I’ll no longer have an excuse to stay at Bean’s Place! I love it here. I think I was one of their first renters and then had a hard time booking it again because it’s so amazing! Luckily I was able to snag it for this rogue Parents Weekend, albeit months in advance. The property and place are so inviting. You immediately feel happy, safe, and cozy. They have truly thought of everything. Even my very particular husband was beyond impressed. The subtle decor tipped off new ideas of places to visit like growlers from Little Fish and Devil’s Kettle. We also checked out Eclipse, which was great. Next time I want to try Shade Winery. Wait! I hope I get to have a next time!

Exceeded Expectations

I'm reluctant to add an amazing review, because I don't want others to rent it and make it even harder to reserve; it is THAT GOOD. The Hosts literally thought of everything. I typically pack as if places are "bare bones" as far as utensils, toiletries, etc. I didn't have to bring any of our things from home out because SO MUCH is provided. The only thing that could have made this better, would be if we could bring our dog, but we totally understand and respect the hosts wishes to not includw pets. The roads on and off the hill are a bit nerve wracking, as you can tell the locals are that know the curves and hills and go a bit faster than what seems practical. Otherwise, the proximity to OU was perfect for us. The house was extremely clean, smelled great and was very cozy. We will definitely keep Beans at the top of our list of places to stay over the next 4 years!

Just Like Home

We enjoyed our stay at Beans Place. Very comfortable With all that is needed in the kitchen, nice to have full size washer/dryer and so much more. We were very impressed that the hosts didn’t want is to do any cleaning. We’ve stayed at other Vrbo rentals that require some cleaning. We will definitely stay here again when visiting our family in Athens. Our 5 year old called it our holiday house. 😊 Hosts were wonderful and communication was great!

Mom's Weekend

This cabin was a great place to stay. It was nice to be able to spend time with our daughter, and still see the campus. It was very crowded on campus so we decided to stay in on Saturday night, had a fire and played games. I would definitely stay at this cabin again.

Exactly what we hoped!

The cabin was clean, check-in easy, and Karl and Eileen were responsive communicators. Stayed here with two friends and we enjoyed the kitchen, tv, fire pit and firewood, picnic table outside and a secluded yard. Was perfect for a few days away.

What a Fabulous Gem of a Cabin

Fantastic secluded location with nearby access to Athens, OH. We were able to see the sights in Athens, Hocking Hills, Logan and many other nearby places. The Hosts were so accommodating and took care of all our needs and requests and the cabin and amenities made our 25th anniversary so very special. The hosts stock the cabin with quite the choice of different types of coffee and also chocolate kisses!! The outdoors provides numerous games to play and a fabulous fire pit with all the wood you'd ever want. Our daughter attends Ohio University and we wish we would have discovered this gem of a place earlier so we could have stayed here. Our many thanks to our hosts!!
