The condo was really chic and was very spacious for 5 people. I liked the interior decor quite a bit and nothing felt particularly cheap. There were some strange warts with the bathrooms such as a toilet seat that was broken and couldn’t be replaced in time for our stay, an unlockable master bathroom, and a shower that seemed to be clogged. The view was really pretty and the location was very convenient. A public parking garage just a few feet away is recommended.Your host here is also a company which doesn’t allow leniency around check-in or checkout. Checkout is an hour earlier than the industry standard, and the language surrounding your timeliness felt intense. No early check-in was allowed. They will say it’s for cleaning but hotels and friendlier hosts seem to make it work.

Central Downtown, we live in East Asheville and rented this place for some friends and ourselves for the weekend so we could all stay together. Beds are super comfy, common area was spacious with a really nice view. Super close to everything downtown.

In town for a 3-night concert. Skylight Condo was the BEST choice! We were able to walk everywhere downtown. The venue was a 5 minute walk. The condo is great! Very modern. Super nice. My only suggestion would be to provide a broom and some counter-safe cleaner (there was only stainless cleaner and glass cooktop cleaner, and we didn’t want to mess up the concrete countertops!). We are all 55 and like to clean up after ourselves and didn’t want to leave a mess. We decided we will definitely return!! It’s amazing! You won’t regret staying here.

Overall was excellent stay. Only negative was that music/bass was very load until about 2:00am when I assume the bar closed. We knew that bar was downstairs ahead of time, though and the other positives outweighed the noise for us.

Overall, a great stay. Central location, though that means lots of street noise (the revving engines were the loudest). The bedrooms in the back of the condo were quietest. My only issue with those is no ability to black out the light from outside. Luckily, I brought my eye shade to sleep. Beds were very comfortable. Nicely appointed with everything we ever needed. Loved the modern decor.

We booked this for a weekend of music in Asheville. Our favorite band, Widespread Panic was suppose to play but had to cancel. We all decided to still make a weekend of it. This place is perfect if you want to be amongst it all. Bars/restaurants all over the place. It can be noisy late at night/mornings but that didn't bother us. Overall the place was very clean and perfect for 3 couples. Will book again if given the chance.

We began badly since finding door to the apartment was a mystery. There are no numbers on the doors, and the listing does not describe the location. Our assumption was that a room in the 300s would be on the 3rd floor, and we hoped that the room with the keypad was the one we were supposed to access. Was I entering a stranger's place? Unknown! Texting the concierge was no help. Nobody responded on that # for hours. Later, we had to call a different # to get step by step instructions about the simplest thing--how to find the room and open the door . All of these minor issues could have been addressed in the access website. But no information was there! Based on other reviews, Carolina Mornings has not fixed this previously-identified issue. This is unfortunate. The room is costly and we expected a straightforward process. After, each person at the various text-able # we were provided continually bounced us around to other # and people. We were given three # and each person on the other line basically bounced our concerns to somebody else. Can't get in the room? Oh, you need to call somebody else! There's visible damage (broken lock, fraying carpet, smashed wine glasses, caustic spills on the ground?) text the property manage on the other line, but when you get ahold of that other line, they are also not the property manager, nor concierge, nor maintenance ... It kept going on like this. Simple issue: what do we do with the garbage? Several exchanges that led nowhere!

This is our second stay at Skylight condo in downtown Asheville because it is so central to everything. It feels like a private residence, with it's almost unnoticeable entryway, and the building is very quiet. The view from the living room windows is spectacular and the entire unit has an open, spacious feel. This rental is well appointed and managed, we highly recommend!

The PROS of this place are it's clean, the furnishings are very hip, the beds are comfortable, and the location is perfect for walking downtown Asheville. The CONS are that there are bars/music halls on three sides of the condo (1 across the street, 1 next door, 1 behind) that play very loud music, even on Sundays, until 12-2am. The music is so loud that the walls were vibrating. There are also cars revving their engines up and down the street, and a steady stream of fire engines (fire station is around the corner) at all hours with horns blazing. If you want to be in a central area and are here to party, this place is great. If you want to go to sleep before midnight, even on a weeknight, or you don't enjoy loud urban noises and the sound of a band in your room until 2am, do not stay here. A few other notes. We arrived on a hot July afternoon, the a/c was set to 78 degrees. We turned it down to cool and left for dinner, when we got back it was 79 degrees. I turned it down again, and I called the after hours number twice and got no help. The a/c did kick in but very slowly, it read 76 at 1am (I was still up thanks to the noises). I didn't get help until 9am the next day so we had both a noisy and hot night. Also the master bedroom has high windows with no curtains but there are very bright lights on the balconies of the next condo over that shone in the windows all night long. We used our bed pillows to stack in the windows to block the light out.

The condo is just a perfect place to stay with a family and a dog. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is fabulous. Our air conditioning was broken. The property manager tried to help, but it was a sweltering 80+ degrees throughout our stay. Repairs were necessary, so I am sure that problem will be fixed. I would highly recommend this property, but be aware that there is a homeless "camp" directly across the street.

As advertised, this is a city location with lots of traditional city noises including a very active night life. Although my immediate family lives in the city and accustomed to this atmosphere, my mother does not and found it quite loud. The location was perfect for getting to UNC-A, West Asheville and, obviously, all downtown attractions. The space was perfect for gathering everyone together to eat, play games, watch tv as well as offer privacy in individual bedrooms.
