Great location. Well stocked. Clean. Comfortable bed. Lots of pillows. Great natural light from skylights in 2 main rooms. Parking is about a block away in the Sears Alley Public Parking deck, so plan to drop off your stuff then park or carry to the loft. Street parking has a 2 hour limit M-Saturday till 6pm. Even if there are spaces on the street outside the loft, it is better to use it just to unload and then put your car in the parking deck to avoid getting ticketed. Easy to walk to a bunch of shops, restraurants and the Civic Center. This rental routes you to another site when you book. You book on here but then Vacasa will contact you to finish the booking and will send all the communications. They were professional and great, no problems at all, clear communication. Just letting you know if you overlook that detail and wonder who is this contacting me?

I cannot fathom that anyone would buy a property without at least one dedicated parking spot in which to park. The fact that you would do so and then rent out the space without said spot is beyond comprehension. That was the biggest problem with the location, the second was the noise from the neighboring bar until the small hours of the morning … however, the loft is beautifully appointed .. and could have been a delightful stay.

Great spot in the center of Downtown Asheville

This spot was perfect for all of the restaurants, bars and shops we wanted to hit. We were able to walk just about everywhere! It was easy to get in and out of the building and the area felt safe. Parking also was easy considering there was no designated lot/spots. Getting to and from the nearby parking garage was fairly simple and quick. My car was also safe there overnight.

The apartment was clean and spacious in a very convenient location in downtown Asheville. The code lock for the apartment door was not working, but the property manager had a solution for us in little more than 30 minutes. No big deal. Fortunately we were provided a physical key to access the property. It meant we could avoid the TEN-DIGIT access code for the lock. I would have found looking up a ten-digit number on my phone annoying. (Other rentals with similar locks seem to use 4- to 6-digit combinations that I find easy to remember.) The other observation was that the hosts did not seem to be part of the community. While there were brochures, pamphlets and maps on site, we found no personal recommendations or tips from the owners. Just how to run the dishwasher & thermostat, and trash day is Wednesday. Kind of missed those useful hints so many other hosts enjoyed leaving for us.

Great location

Have stayed at different Church St lofts 4x, this the second time with property managed by vacasa (booked on vrbo). Yes, can sometimes be a bit of night-time noise in this Church-St facing unit (Lexington-facing back units seemed quieter), but manageable if you are a heavy sleeper (me) or a chill person okay to get by on 4-6 hrs a night for a few days (wife), reminding yourself that a really nice downtown apartment's pros still make it a vastly better option than a hotel or most less-central, less-vibrant places. Everything else about this unit is great, as pictured and described. Vacasa's communications are good.

Beware of this property and company

We had an awful experience on our anniversary trip. They describe city noise in the listing. What they don’t tell you is that this property is in the same building as a pub. The noise of the people coming and going until we’ll after midnight was unreal. A couple of times the pub had live music and it sounded like they were in the living room with us…until after midnight. We had a 24 hour period where the toilet was broken. We called 3 times and spoke to 3 different people over a 15 hour period and NO ONE ever got back to us. After going to an ingles to use a working toilet we took the tank kit apart and fixed it ourselves. At 830pm that night a repair man knocked on the door and we had fixed everything. This property has multiple skylights without a way to cover them, so if you need a dark place to sleep, this isn’t it. We were lucky enough to have snow while there, except that it also snowed in the living room. One of the skylights has a serious leak. We had to move the furniture out of the way and hang out in the bedroom that day. We called early that morning to report it and again NO ONE called us back and NO ONE came to take a look at the leaking sky light. It was a miserable stay. I plan on calling management to discuss this further, but I wouldn’t rent this property or from this company again. It ruined our anniversary trip in that we couldn’t fully enjoy the area or the experience because we were dealing with this nightmare. We were referred to this property by a local realtor and have advised him not to refer anyone to this company either. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

Nice apartment in a GREAT location!

The apartment is a short walk or very short drive to any and every thing. Was extremely clean when we checked in, and the space overall was wonderful, the updates and exposed brick inside give a modern industrial to the apartment. If nighttime noise is an issue for you, that may be the only downside to this lovely place (however they do provide multiple noise machines as well as TVs). My real complaint is not with the apartment but with the management (Vacasa group), customer service is extremely lacking and I am not someone to normally complain. Was on hold nearly 30 minutes each of the 2 times I HAD to call them, and was hung up on when trying to purchase late checkout after their phone app would not complete the purchase. Overall a great property, just pray you don't have to speak to management.

Fantastic Apartment, Convenient Location

This apartment was located right in downtown Asheville and perfect for walking to all of the local businesses. It was very clean, nicely decorated and cozy. Even though we got snowed in and many businesses were closed it was a great place to hang out. We would definitely stay again and recommend this to anyone.

Mostly good with a few drawbacks

If in town location is most important then this is your place. But, the sound proofing from the street was poor - lots of street noise and car alarms each night. The internet did not work upon arrival though Turnkey property managers were readily accessible first by phone then in person to fix the problem. Still, it took up the first four hours of my stay which was a bummer. Minimal on the creature comforts such as no hangers in the closet and no dishwasher detergent, no coffee.

Ideal Location in Downtown Asheville

This apartment was in a great location, centrally located to everything Asheville has to offer. The renovation is beautiful and had all the amenities you need for a stay in Asheville. Easy to walk to shopping, dining and local breweries. Parking, whether street parking or in a parking garage, was very simple. Because the bedroom is on the street, you will hear some noise at night. Will definitely stay in this location again when we visit Asheville in the future.

Wifi was down when we needed it most… all weekend! Parking is not provided and they said it was. It’s is up to you to pay additional for safe parking, we had to park at a garage. It made getting luggage a challenge. The homeless population is loud and drunken. The shower drained so slow, it was gross.

Great, central location

This property was very charming and smartly decorated/appointed. Great use of space/layout; had a bit of an intermittent issue with internet and tv. The only, only negative comment I would make is that this is not a quiet location...because it IS so conveniently located in the downtown district. But having the sound machine in the bedroom was very thoughtful/useful. Don't be dismayed by parking in the nearby parking garage. It is convenient and worth the $12 per day charge.
