Lovely mountain home in the woods overlooking the mountains and close to Asheville. This was the second time our family stayed in this well appointed home.
We stayed two nights. Had never been to Asheville before. Location was perfect. With Mountain Viewâs comes mountain roads. Once you figure it out, it is not too bad. House was great for my wife, our 16 year old and me. Plenty of room to spread out. House was well finished, we did not cook, but everything you could need was there. Would stay here again.
The balcony is not safe. The parking is not good. Very steep and you need a 4x4.I have a therapy pet that Iâm legally allowed to bring and they did not allow the pet.The washing machine didnât work.Someone elseâs clothes were in the closet.
Accommodations were excellent - clean, roomy, comfortable, well equipped, and the area was quite beautiful. We were very close to some businesses, shopping, restaurants. Very convenient!
Just a few miles from downtown Asheville, this 3 bedroom cabin was perfect for our adult family stay. The kitchen had a good selection of tools, the beds were all comfy, and the foggy view over the valley was beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay. The location close to the city, but tucked away in the mountains, allowed us to enjoy some time in nature with the attractions of Asheville a short drive away. The home was comfortable and well equipped for four adults. It seems like bear sightings are quite common and we ran across a bear on two separate occasions on the road a short distance from the house. If we ever come to the Asheville area again, we would be happy to stay here.
The house is spacious and in a nice location. If youâre interested in a rustic, somewhat dated cabin feel, then this house is a good option. Personally, I prefer a more updated look and feel, along with inviting well- maintained decks. We chose this place because of the view but thereâs only a small space where the mountain range is viewable and itâs beside a very prominent dead tree.
Best part is the view! So nice to sit on porch & relax! Had a good stay with everything we needed. Great location. Comfortable beds & bedding. Backing out of house a bit cumbersome like others have mentioned but made it work. Grant, the host, responds quickly & accompanied any needs we had. Would definitely stay here again!
We live on the Outer Banks of NC and enjoy visiting Asheville several times a year and we always rent a home in the area for a week for our family. We've stayed in wonderful places but this haven in the mountains checks all the boxes! Nestled among the trees and the view is spectacular, close proximity to Asheville ($7 Uber ride), comfy beds, well equipped home, porches and wildlife! 2 bear sightings in the yard, a raccoon and beautiful birds! We will definitely come back!
We had a great time! The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and absolutely beautiful views of the mountains. As others have said, getting to the cabin and the parking is a little tricky, the parking spots are tight and steep. But I think thatâs to be expected with a cabin in the mountains. Itâs close to town but feels like youâre far away, itâs a very peaceful location.
Enjoyed the fact that we were so close to downtown Asheville but also in the mountains so it didnât seem like we were in town. One of the better houses we have stayed in that has good amenities and beautiful views.
Stayed here three nights as part of a cross-country road trip. It was our favorite of all VRBOs on this trip. The views are divine! The house is large, comfortably furnished and has a well-equipped kitchen. Having the washer and dryer in the house was a real plus. With three adults (one couple), the layout allowed for privacy for the couple on the second floor and convenience for the single on the first floor.
We found the driveway to be easily manageable with our SUV (not 4WD). Parking was easy and right at the house.
We would love to stay at this rental again.
We are four girlfriends on our 15th annual trip.
The drive and scenery up to this mountain home amazing. Grant, the owner, was so responsive to any questions and concerns to make sure our stay in his home most enjoyable. The home is very clean, supplied with all you should need to enjoy a relaxing and restful stay. We were blessedto have found this place. Thank you!
The pictures of this cabin look awesome. I chose it because of all the windows, light, balconies, and location. It is comfortable and well furnished. The location to Asheville is very convenient. The master bedroom is upstairs and is a suite. The two bathrooms are small and present some challenges to share but can be done. The number of towels in each bathroom is impressive. The outside of the cabin could use a good cleaning and some improvements. That is cosmetic but would be nice. The outside furniture does not invite you to âcome and relax.â We could not get the upstairs t.v. To show a picture. The owner nor manager were helpful in response to this matter. Parking for one car is adequate but more would be a challenge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the mountains.
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in this conveniently located, very clean house with a well stocked kitchen, nice Mountain Views, enjoyable outdoor spaces, comfortable beds and amazing quiet. I also really appreciated the teapot!
We loved staying here. It was secluded enough that we felt like we were in the woods, but close enough to get to town quickly! We even saw a bear! Would definitely go back.
This house is in great shape and in a beautiful location close to downtown Asheville. The porch needed to be cleaned after spring's pollen along with some interior ceiling fans. The kitchen needed more flatware but otherwise was very nice and the owner provided much appreciated paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, body soap and toilet paper. The road up to the home is winding but doable, the driveway is very steep but in the warmer months should be no problem. I would definitely recommend using your emergency brake once you've parked up hill hear the house. There are bears in the woods at times so be careful not to let your children or dogs roam around by themselves. The bears live there and the ones we saw were just hanging out letting the cubs play. If you don't bother them, they shouldn't bother you. Please note the house rules for disposing of garbage and securing the home before leaving.
This home was a delight! A beautiful oasis in the trees with fantastic views!!! If you're traveling in the winter it's highly recommended to have 4 wheel drive.
We will definitely be renting this home again.
