Looks are deceiving.
Beautiful building and rooms. Personnel tried to be helpful. However, no elevator working ( not for several weeks) but not mentioned until after checkin. Had we known, we would not have stayed here. Breakfast (?), joke. Parking - only 18 slots, most taken up by diners. We usually ended up parking on the street. Chairs in room were attractive but not suitable to sit in for extended lengths of time ( football games). I asked about a military discount for rates and was told the clerk did not know how to access it and so was declined. Overall, not quite the wonderful weekend we had planned.

The property should do a better job of information. No where on the website does it list check in and check out times. My biggest issue was the front desk. I checked in early and was assessed a $50 fee. I was told here are my keys. I was not told about parking. I was told the elevator was broken, I was not told where to find stairs or how to get to my room, not a great first impression. The rooms are well appointed and cozy on a rainy day. The website lists a gym on site.

Regarding the elevator, we had a part backordered, and are working as fast as possible to get it up and running. We looked at your card and did not see a 50 early check-in fee, but we would have removed it if we did!As a family-owned business, we hope to provide the highest level of service on every stay. The staff was kind and helpful. It was easy access to dining and shopping. The Tavern restaurant that is attached to the hotel has good food and the owners are of the restaurant are accommodating and friendly.

This is a great property. Very comfortable rooms. Checkin was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’m sure I’m the summer time it would be filled with a lot of activity.

Couldn't get room cleaned; restaurant and bar closed Monday and Tuesday; ice machine broken; limited towels; limited to none cleaning even though someone was on our floor cleaning; total sham.

Dear Guest. To set the record straight first of all the ice machine was not broken. We had numerous guests that apparently filled ice chests depleting the ice supply. Towels are available upon request if you ask. Stayovers are cleaned last as we have to get the rooms ready for arrivals first with a limited staff. I am sorry you feel like it was total "sham" but the multitude of 10's on reviews indicate just the opposite. The restaurant is not owned or operated by the hotel as it is leased to a private individual and he sets the hours for restaurant operations. If you would have inquired with the front desk 99% of these things you are upset about could have been explained.

Enjoyed our stay!
Everything was as advertised. Loved staying here and plan on staying again. Parking was tricky when returning late but, they had a perfect solution. Loved the decor, the staff and their breakfast was great and replenished when low.

Amazing hotel right in the heart of Arnold’s Park. The pool is small but it works great for young children. Convenient location! Food is great and staff are very helpful. Would definitely recommend if you’re wanting to kill a few days at the theme park. Only gripe is terrible water pressure in the bathrooms. Seriously, only gripe. Fix that and it’s nearly perfect!

The staff was very friendly and the property was in an excellent location. While it was a newer hotel with really cool decor etc a lot of things were in need of repair. In our room there was a missing towel hook with just the screw sticking out, light fixture between beds was loose and the shower drain did not stay open. Also the AC didn’t seem to be working properly as our room always had a damp feel to it. Bathroom in pool are and lobby were not very clean and also had some hooks etc in need of repair. Overall, I love the look of the hotel and what they were going for and it’s walkable location but unfortunately it has just not been well maintained.

The location is great - a few steps from the Lake and really close to the Amusement Park. The room was very nice also, but there was only tea available to fix in the room - we like our morning coffee. And breakfast consisted of sweet rolls and mandarines - no cereals - and really no place to eat other than our rooms.

Good Hotel
Overall great stay, better than last year in some aspects others not so much. Improvement this year: The pool was clean & usable as well as being stocked with towels and floats. Not so great: one of our bed mattresses had a horrible dip and the restaurant is not open daily. We would stay again, the hotel is clean and staff courteous. Location is perfect.
