« Excellent size with clean and spacious rooms and bathroom. It was initially tricky to call the host on our International SIM card, but one we connected through WhatsApp he was very responsive. The yard had wonderfully scented flowers and the washer was much needed at this point in our trip. If we are back in the area, we will absolutely stay again! »

« We had a lovely week away. The cottage was well situated for things we wanted to do. Paul across the road we met as we were leaving was very friendly and checked that everything with our stay was ok. He doesn’t have a car so parking on his drive worked really well (I was worry we would have to keep moving the car/get trapped in.) and we were able to get to our car whenever we needed it. Tescos is a 5 min walk and town is very close. There is a nice play park just across the road and Alfreton...

« Petit cottage simple, un vrai cocon de calme, sejour très relaxant dans une region où tout est a découvrir. »

« A very clean, comfortable cottage, spacious and well equipped with everything that you need. Cosy and warm. Great walks from the door, beautiful area with all that the Derbyshire dales has to offer. There is a friendly pub across the road where we enjoyed a pint but only serving meals at weekends currently. 10 minute walk into the village where another pub, also friendly (the black swan) serves food but with a limited menu. There is an Indian restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent meal one of...

« Lovely holiday get away, horse stables on the working farm was lovely, was a shame my maltipoo dog did not feel the same way. Great value for money. Bottle of wine was very much appreciated. »

« We had a great time at Rose Cottage. Perfect for a long weekend. Generally very clean but lots of dog hairs on the floor. Heating was very responsive, kitchen well equipped. Could do with a drying rack for the draining board and some tumbler sized glasses. Lovely soft towels and bedding, great shower. Best fish and chips ever from Robinsons over the road. Parking a bit tricky at times but all in all a lovely time! »

« Pictures don’t do it justice, beautiful property, lovely location, we had a great stay »

« Nice house and inside . Unfortunately the rear garden had steps going from outside house plus down into garden which was not suitable for one of our dogs as its blind Plus rear shed has no window in back and lots of black sacks which overflowed into back section meaning shed door couldn't be closed. The road is very busy from 7am through to 9pm so we found road noise a problem Parking has been mentioned before and is not great . The booklet for information is out of date...
