« Nous avons été « déclassé » en arrivant sur le lieu de l’hébergement. Nous avions réservé une chambre vu sur l’eau avec SDB et toilettes et nous avons eu un « cottage » avec les toilettes et la SDB dans d’autres bâtiments. Les propriétaires n’ont rien voulu savoir et n’ont fait aucun geste commercial. Le cottage n’était pas propre. C’est bien dommage car le site est calme, paisible et la vue exceptionnelle. »

« Can’t say enough good about this property. The pictures do not do it justice. The care and attention to comfort and beauty was evident in every room. Beautifully decorated- every amenity- spotless- and stunning views…we were so sad to leave. « The place was much larger than expected and the location was lovely, not a huge fan of the massive charge for the wood and hot tub set up but we didnt end up partaking so i cant tell you if it was worth it.The place was amazing though in terms of the space and the location, a kitchen to cook and a swim right after is an unbeatable combo »

« The cottage was comfortable and well set up. We will definitely consider going back: it's a great distance for a weekend getaway from Halifax, and the amenities are nice (that sauna!). The only issue we found (because we went to curl up and read books together!) was that the lighting in the main space was not great: a couple of floor lamps would have been great. »

« What a beautiful spot this was. Our place was on the shore overlooking a beautiful little cove. Listening to the ocean waves roll in while sitting in the wood fired hot tub and sauna was so relaxing. The cabin itself was great. Clean, well stocked with kitchen essentials and beautiful views. »

« My husband and I stayed at this lakeside retreat in early May. Our son in law's family have a cottage down the road. While we spent most of our day in the other cottage, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Lakeside retreat. It is very well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed working on a few puzzles and listening to music on the Google Home Sound system. We hope to come again one day with our granddaughters and swim in the Medway river and Ponhook lake. »

« We really enjoyed our stay, especially how beautiful the property is. Sitting in the window of the cottage, watching the views with coffee, was exactly what we needed. We can’t wait to get back again throughout the summer months, but recommend booking a cottage at any time of year. »

« Had my bday getaway with friends here it was awesome even in the winter. Says up to 6 guests and we had 5 and it was very crowded, not enoigh dinner table seats for everyone and living room seating was not for us all to sit and watch tv. Other than that it was great thoigh! »

« The Shortt Lake cottage was the perfect home base for our family gathering for my Dad's 100th Birthday. Handy for pickups from the airport. Close to my Dad's place in Truro. And comfortable for family connections throughout the day and night. »
