« We really enjoyed our stay at Birnie House Cottage and Aileen and Bob really made us feel welcome. They were so helpful and kind, always helping to plan our outings. The cottage was very cosy and we also loved the garden, the squirrels, the walk in the woods with the dogs... Heating needs to be addressed as very cold even with constant heat and lighting could be better in kitchen. otherwise very comfortable and well equipped. Für uns zu zweit hatte es die perfekte Größe.Die Lage war gut für Tagesausflüge in die großen Städte (Dundee, Perth, Aberdeen, Edinburgh) und für Wanderausflüge an die Ostküste und bis in die Highlands. Man muss sich etwas daran gewöhnen, die meiste Zeit auf sehr engen Straßen zu fahren. »

"Cet endroit est surtout destiné au mariage écossais le week-end. La situation est intéressante au fond d’un Glen. Mais tout cela dépend du temps , car l’intérêt est de se promener dans des beaux endroits. Il peut pleuvoir en ecosse …. Donc dans ce contexte on peut venir en semaine en réservant au dernier moment selon la météo !nous étions tous seuls dans l’hôtel ! Ne soyez pas étonné que l’on veuille vous faire diner entre 17 et 19 h pour que le personnel sympathique puisse rentrer chez lui , que la chambre soit faite tous les 3 jours et que le petit déjeuner ne soit s’souvent prêt qu’à 8h30, d’s l’attente du personnel qui habite loin . Sinon le cuisinier est très sympathique et fait cuire la viande bleue ou saignante ( les bœufs de la ferme de l’hôtel sont bio +++) ."
