« I love staying at the Iowa House when I visit my son at Iowa State. It is very close to campus, definitely within walking distance. The rooms are always clean and cool. The dining room always has something to eat at all hours. Breakfast in the mornings are always good. I even got a text asking if I would be eating breakfast. The staff are great and very accommodating. When I go to Ames, this is the first place I look to stay. »

« The problem is that there is no local help with this property. The apartment is managed by a company in Atlanta. I couldn’t find the key nor figure out how to lock the apartment, and getting help was cumbersome calling the management company in Atlanta, then awaiying a conversation with the on-call person. « Beds and pillows were very comfortable with really soft sheets. I’m not sure about amenities- we didn’t have a chance to use the pool area due to maintenance. The staff never mentioned anything about a breakfast and we had to leave early so never checked to see if one was available. Only negative was having a room right by the elevator and ice machine which you could hear. »
