« A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We were in room 3 which had a challenging set of stairs, no lift due to nature of the historic building. Very atmospheric place bang in the middle of the town great access on foot to all amenities. A 10 minute stroll to the Castle and the excellent car park. Breakfast was first class value. « Such a wonderful place to stay from the location, the staff and the room. We loved it all! »

« The pictures on the site do not represent the reality of this hotel. It’s currently very run down and in need of lots of work. We stayed for 3 nights, we only had 3 towels and although we asked for more twice, were not given any and they weren’t changed during our stay. The bathroom looked new but unfinished. There was nowhere to put shampoo etc. in the shower, the floor was slippy (I bought a rubber mat for them) the toilet flush was dodgy and neither the fan or light above the mirror worked....

« Ne soyez pas effrayés par la proximité de l'autoroute, une fois dans votre chambre vous n'entendrez plus rien.... Mais vous serez réveillés par les premiers rayons du soleil puisque les fenêtres n'ont pas de rideaux...! L'ensemble de la bâtisse pourrait être très agréable si l'on ne tombait pas sans cesse sur des gravats ou des vieux meubles abandonnés. « Nice little cottage very handy for everything in Alnwick »

« A very comfortable and well furnished cottage. We were able to cook good meals on an excellent gas range although there are a few bits and pieces of cutlery/crockery that would have made it even better. This was the fifth time we have stayed in this cottage; it is a great place to stay if you want to see many places in the area. We even visited Newcastle (easy if you use 'park and metro') and as far as Kelso in Scotland to see Floors Castle. »

« Fantastic house but you would think it would have a secure garden for the toddlers and dogs. Photos show gardens but you cant see that they are all open plan. »
