The property was beautiful! Unfortunately the management company doesn’t care about the property. Between the wrong link for directions then having a call center that is out of the country it was difficult to get in. Once we did find the property we were greeted with mouse droppings in all the cabinets and in one pull out sofas. They did refund the cleaning fee after we sent photos but it was the last thing we wanted to deal with. The photos of the property are clearly a couple years old as everything was beat up and showed a lot of wear.

We booked this property last minute as our previous VRBO had to cancel due to a plumbing leak 2 days prior to our trip. We were planning a family vacation with 7 people, so we needed a good bit of space. This place is very large and was great for our family. The house is laid out a little bit weird, but if you have a large number of people, you are going to have plenty of space for everyone. The property is located at the end of the road and is surrounded by trees, so if you want to be secluded then this is the place for you. The last mile and a half is just a gravel road, so you have to be careful and take it slow. You don't need a 4-wheel drive - at least not if the weather is good - but it is a bit more challenging if you are in a car. Generally the place was great, but there are a few things that could be improved. The glass cooktop in the kitchen is not in great shape. It still worked fine, but it has a huge crack in it. It could also be a bit cleaner as there was visible dust on the pendants hanging over the breakfast bar. And then there were the millipedes. Now, I realize being out in the woods that there are going to be critters, but there were so many millipedes in the house. I did notice outside that there were tons of them on the foundation of the house, so there's no surprise by how many there were inside the house. It was also a bit rainy when we were there which might be why there were so many around. Just something to note if you really dislike bugs.

It is a nice property. Great yard. Plenty of parking. Fire pit was nice. Hot tub was nice but…….Code to get in would not work. Had to call and then we got a code for lock box that had a key. Built in microwave over oven does not work hence the tiny one on the counter. Oven takes forever to preheat. Better start it an hour before you want to bake something. Found mouse droppings in the pull out sofa in the main living room so had to clean first. No extra linens for pull out sofa. One trash bag for kitchen trash with 12 people for 3 days. Had to buy some. Shower door in upstairs bathroom does not close properly and water gets all in floor. Bathroom tile is crack really bad. Air returns and ceilings fans and dirty. Corn hole game was broken-couldn’t use. Foose ball/pool/air hockey table was not usable. Couldn’t find cue sticks, foose ball. There were a few board games. The kicker was when we were cleaning up and getting ready to leave, we were putting dishes in the dishwasher and a mouse came from the main living room by the fireplace ran over my foot and under the dishwasher. It is a really cool house and property and we did enjoy our stay but there are things that need to be taken care of and cleaned and updated just a bit.
