After booking the room almost 2 months ago through Expedia and then the very next day I contacted the hotel directly and asked them if I could get a specific room. The desk clerk assured me that I would get that room, she said that she would put a note in the system that it wouldn’t get changed. Well I showed up at check in time on the day I was supposed to check in. The lady at the desk informed me that I had been bumped from that room and they were going to put me in a different room that was not even close to the other room. The desk clerk was very unapologetic about the situation and only said we will give you a free breakfast. Well I said I wanted to see the room first. I went and looked at it and couldn’t believe they would even rent that room to anyone. It smelled of smoke, the bed looked like it was in a closet, a very small bathroom, nothing even close to what I had reserved. I went back to the front desk and told them that wasn’t going to do. The desk clerk got mouthy and said they had overbooked 8 rooms for that weekend, like it was my problem. When I asked for my money back she told me since it was a third party reservation I would have to contact them. So now I’m trying without any luck to talk to a real person at Expedia. It was a 3 night reservation! I will never go to or recommend this hotel to anyone.
