Was a very relaxing getaway, peaceful and quiet and very clean. We were all very impressed with the place and will be visiting again.

The home was beautiful and welcoming. We enjoyed our visit overall. I wonder if, at some point, a guest ruin the foam mattress on the king sized bed as it seems to only have a box spring so very uncomfortable. I would recommend some sort of window coverings as the sun comes in quite bright and wakes you up very early. I don't know why the ad says there's a pool when there is not. The lake is super yucky and I would not recommend swimming. We went to Red Deer to Discovery Canyon and we went swimming in Olds at their pool, so there are other options.

Pool was not swimmable. The algae was everywhere. Should not be in the description as usable. They need to Clean the light fixtures. The bugs are starting to decay.

Beautiful location and property, equipped with everything needed. There is cell service in most spots of cabin which is great, just a heads up - the water does have a real sulphur smell for brushing teeth & showering.

We really enjoyed the place and the house was perfect for a family of 4. I only wanted to say that the king-size bed is quite hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. The windows in that room don't have curtains, so my children woke up completely at 5 a.m. The curtains are missing. Finally, I don't recommend drinking the water because it smells bad and is oily when bathing. Despite this, it's a great place to enjoy with the family and disconnect. I loved the view and the birds singing.

This was our second visit to this properrty and we hope to return again. The beauty and solitude are just what we are looking for to get away from the busy city. The house itself is clean and modern but big on comfort. Nice to see some added features since the last visit like the dvd player and radio.

We are a family of four adults with 1 pet. We had a really nice experience in this clean and well kept property. We really enjoyed the quiet area and the nice and peaceful surroundings. Nice property and most of what we need was provided by the owner. My communication with the owner was good and I receive responses promptly. Our suggestions for improvement: 1. There is a certain smell with the water in this property and we can smell it when using the faucets in the sink and when taking a shower. 2. The heated water, if you use the shower is not consistent. 3. Included in the amenities is the wi-fi as I read the information. But when I asked for the wi-fi access on the day we were checking in, the owner replied and informed me there is no wi-fi service. Other than these, we still unanimously agreed to go back to this property. - Gem

This property was beautiful! We stayed here for a weekend getaway & had a relaxing time. Being tucked away in the trees and able to disconnect was nice. I wasnt expecting the bedrooms to be all connected which was a fun surprise for us! We decided we would come back again in a different season because we liked the vibe so much! Everything as far as toilet paper, paper towel, tin foil, dish soap, sponges etc was provided which was great. Everything was clean & host was responsive!

We really enjoyed the peacefulness of this location. The views are lovely, watching the birds come and go on the lake. We enjoyed taking the dog for walks around the property, which is really pretty with the changing leaves. I think it should be mentioned in the description to definitely bring your own drinking water and a fly swatter. After the initial shower on day one, the hot water ran out after about 3 minutes. Overall, we got what we went for: a chance to unplug and enjoy each other's company.

This was a lovely three days. The house is beautiful and the property is wonderful. We really enjoyed the long walks we took, and the pond is really pretty. Lots of critters around: deer, frogs, and a muskrat! Great communications with Miranda, and it is really very quiet. It was perfect for us. Two small things. Because it is an open concept house, if you are a light sleeper it is a difficult when people are moving about. Also, water is quite soft with sulfur odour, so if that worries you, bring drinking water. But these were minor things.

We had an amazing time at the Birdhouse. We came prepared with board games and books as we knew about and wanted no wifi. The week we totally got to relax and enjoy family time. This place is very secluded so gives you the rest you so need. The path around the cabin is mowed and we walked it many times throughout the day. The deck is large and beautiful and has a great view of the lake. We didnā€™t use the small pond but we werenā€™t interested in that to begin with. We enjoyed the open concept of the cabin and the floor to ceiling windows. Definitely recommend if you want time away from people and the busy city living.

Beautiful location and property. House was lovely and clean. We were scheduled to stay 4 nights but unfortunately left after 2 due to my dogs feeling unwell; likely because of the heat. There is no AC and when itā€™s 30 degrees, with south facing windows, there is no escaping the heat. The dogs loved the freedom to run (supervised) and loved the pond. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent spot for some privacy and relaxing. Gorgeous prairie views and a lovely deck to watch the sunset from. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook some great meals there. We brought our own drinking water, the tap water does smell like sulfur.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was 34 degrees and our dog very much enjoyed going swimming in there little pond. The house is very clean and has a beautiful view. We will be back for sure. Thank you!!
