Just a short walk from the turquoise waters of Half Moon Bay and Yalku Lagoon, Casa Galeria is the ideal spot to relax, reconnect, and create unforgettable memories with friends or family.

The property is thoughtfully designed with two distinct buildings: the Main House and a separate Guest Studio building, giving your group the ability to spread out comfortably while still enjoying time together in shared spaces like the central pool, gardens, and rooftop terraces. Whether you're spending your mornings sipping coffee on a thatched balcony, your afternoons lounging poolside, or your evenings stargazing from the rooftop, this home invites you to enjoy every moment at your own pace.

The Main House features two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms, an open-concept kitchen and living area, and direct access to the pool and garden. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, a full en suite bathroom, and a set of open stairs leading to the rooftop, where you can take in the sunrise, watch the stars, or just enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze. The second bedroom includes two twin beds that can be combined into a queen, offering flexibility for families or friends traveling together. Large mahogany closets, ceiling fans, and air conditioning throughout the home ensure both comfort and style, while the thatched-roof balconies add local charm and natural shade.

Just across from the pool are the two Guest Studios, perfect for couples, friends, or older children looking for a bit more independence. Upper Studio One offers a bright, open loft-style layout with a queen-size bed accessed via steep stairs, a full kitchen, living area, bathroom, and a beautiful balcony and rooftop space—best suited for agile guests. Lower Studio Two is on the ground floor and more accessible, with just two wide steps leading inside. It includes a cozy bedroom, full kitchen, living space, and bathroom—great for kids, seniors, or anyone with mobility considerations. Both studios are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Throughout the property, you’ll find plenty of space to relax, whether you prefer a shady hammock under the trees, a sunny lounge chair by the pool, or a breezy seat on the balcony. The pool and garden areas are beautifully maintained and perfect for spending lazy afternoons, enjoying a good book, or watching the kids play. The villa comes with two complimentary bikes for guest use, allowing you to easily explore the surrounding area at your own pace.

To make your stay as easy as possible, housekeeping is included three days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) at no extra charge. Additional cleanings can be arranged for a small fee. The property also includes pool and garden maintenance several times a week. Bottled drinking water is provided, and the home has high-speed internet for those who need to stay connected while away. Pets are welcome with responsible owners and a pet deposit, and smoking is allowed outside, though we ask guests to be cautious around the thatched roofing, especially on breezy days.

When it comes to location, Casa Galeria is ideally situated in a peaceful neighborhood, just minutes from Akumal’s main attractions. Take a quick walk to the beach to swim with sea turtles, snorkel in the lagoon, or explore tide pools. Enjoy delicious meals at our favorite open-air restaurants, many of which are just a short walk or bike ride away. Local dive shops, boutique stores, beach bars, spas, and markets are also close by, giving you the full experience of Akumal’s laid-back and welcoming atmosphere.

While a rental car offers the most convenience for exploring beyond Akumal, taxis and private shuttles are also readily available. Colectivos and buses from the nearby highway (about a mile away) offer a more local, budget-friendly travel option, although you may need to walk or arrange a short taxi ride to the property from there. We recommend researching transportation options ahead of your trip to choose what works best for your plans.
