Stylish and spacious retreat in close proximity to Aix en Provence
This house is well situated , It can be acceessed easily by the A51 without having to cross Aix. It is located ca. 2,5km north of the city centre of Aix which is a 5 minutes ride by car or a 20 minute walk. The bus circulates twice per hour and the bus stop is just 50 m from the gate. The 18th century villa is on a huge plot of land absolutely hidden and it cannot be seen from the street. It is surrounded by a huge garden with old trees and you will always find a place in the shade either in the garden or in one of the 2 terrasses. From the large refreshing pool you have a view on the famous Mount Sainte Victoire. The next bakery is within walking distance in Platanes. So you are right there but still away form all the crowds.
The house is big enough to accomodate the 9 of us. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances and sufficient dishes and pots. Everything was complete and functional. The bedrooms are on the first floor which is air-conditioned. I absolutely recommend Bastide Sainte-Marie and we would definetly come back.
