very disapointing
the staff is just as charming as the restaurant is a insult to the catering industry. There were not a lot of dishes on the menu and the chef was not really bothered to make his client happy. To me the worst was the smell the whole room had. 1 day or two are good to enjoy the beach and the swimming pool, but i just cannot understand how people can stay there for a week... once you are there, you really are stuck and remote from everything. after 2 days, i just wanted to run away.

The property is showing its age and they are currently renovating which is good. The property windows to the restaurant were dirty and unclean which was disappointing having 2 days of breakfast and Dinner there. The location was good with easy access to the beach and appeared to be clean of rubbish. The facilities are in bad condition expect for the pools, I would rate this property as 3 1/2 Stay which was disappointing after staying at the Hertiance Kandalama

Celebrated earth day with Air full of Kerosene
We were unfortunate to stay at this hotel on a day that they celebrated the Earth Day in 2023. We love, encourage, and actively participate in similar programs. The problem was, how the hotel management went about the celebration and their lack of planning. Hotel management decided to shut all electrical lights in the downstairs lobby area, then lighted kerosene torches. There were so may kerosene torches lit all over the area (including bar, near pool etc.) and the smell was unbearable, air was unbreathable. Add 100C temperature and humidity to the situation and it was absolute hell. What was the point of this stupid show? They probably added more pollutant to the air by burning all the kerosine for few hours than the greenhouse gases emitted to generate electricity. Stupidity at its best was in display at Heritance Ahungalla on 3/23/23.

Excellent location with 2 large swimming pool overlooking the beach. Plenty of beach chairs and the pool staff made sure that we stay comfortably in the shade enjoying the sea view. We stayed on all inclusive package and lots of choices of tasty food were available throughout the day. Excellent customer services by Shanduni, Varuni from the restaurant, Prasanna -cleaning staff, Raju from the bar. We will highly recommend this resort and definitely stay again on our next visit to Sri Lanka.

Need some work and service upgrade!
When I checked in there was a congratulation cake on the coffee table. I told them it was not mine. They came and moved it to the other room. That’s a Covid protocol violation. Toilet did not flush well at all. After using it I had to flush it at least 4 times. Hotel is beautiful. Average service. Nice swimming pool and the pool staff is nice.

Wirklich sehr schönes Hotel. Tolle Lager und guter Service. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Achtung es warten Taxis am Hotel. Für unsere Weiterfahrt nach Unawatuna/Talpe wollten sie 50$, wir haben hart verhandelt, haben abgelehnt und sind zum Gate gelaufen, die Fahrer sind uns gefolgt und am Ende haben wir nur 20€ gezahlt.

Quiet & luxury
Big spacious hotel (with dead spaces, such a never opened bars or long empty corridors). Very good room with good AC and the sound of the waves to put you to sleep. 2 big pools: the blue one with sea view and the green one, more secluded with overhanging tree and visiting birds. Food was excellent from the breakfast hoppers to the dinner's curries. Weird system of pool loungers not furnished with cushions & having to request a pool towel rather than helping yourselves meant having to wait quite a bit for the pool attendant on occasion. The sea is not very quiet, even in 'high' season. It is shallow for a good 10/15 metres so can be enjoyed anyway but non-confident swimmers might find the waves off-putting.

The service is really bad. If it were not designed by Bawa, I will never visit it. Dont waste your time. Jetwing Lighthouse is much better.

到着するなり、インフィニティプールが出迎えてくれる素晴らしい設計に感動しました! 部屋は掃除が行き届いており、タオルもしっかりとした生地で清潔でした。2泊したのですが、2回目の掃除が終わった部屋に戻ると、ベッドにハイビスカスの花びらと象さんのタオルアートが!新婚でもないのに…と思いつつ、サプライズ演出に感激しました。

Perfekt hotell för all inclusive.
Hotellet är anpassat för att du som gäst ska ha all inclusive. Om du ej har det finns det en restauarang att äta på och du blir mer eller mindre utstött av personalen. Servicen är inte den bästa. Inte all personal som kan engelska. Går inte att bada i havet. Dyrt att äta buffé om du inte är all inclusive-gäst. Exemplariskt städning. Fina rum.

An OK stay
A brief holiday - the property is old but the service is good and the food is just about OK. Once you are in the resort its very tough to get out to the town. So plan to stay in the resort if you are booking this property. The service is fine, staff friendly and the amenities are good.

サービスが行き届いているホテル
夕方にも清掃が入るので、プールの後シャワールームを使いましたが、濡れた床やバスルームがきれいにされていて気持ちよく過ごせました。バスタオルやフェイスタオル、バスマットも交換されていました。ただ、バスマットが少し古いのかシミが多くついていたので洗濯はしているとわかりましたが新しいものに変えた方がいいと思いました。 ディナービュッフェに行きましたがどれもとても味付けが良く約3300ルピー程度で大人1人分の金額なので大変お得だと感じました。子どもは無料でした。

Hotel was in a very good location colonial style very beautiful setting but the rooms need upgrading especially the bathroom. We had half board breakfast and dinner excellent staff also very accommodating.
