Sandy Bay Shack is nestled in a picturesque garden setting surrounded with vibrant Wisteria flowers. While they add a lovely touch to the landscape, they do shed their petals frequently, creating a natural but sometimes messy outdoor environment. We work diligently to keep our outdoor areas tidy, but we appreciate your understanding as you may encounter some flower debris during your stay.

Our property is also ideally located next to a lovely park, inviting delightful visits from a variety of wildlife. The area is alive with the cheerful chirping of birds, making it a fantastic spot for birdwatching—keep an eye out for colorful rosellas and playful parrots! At night, you might catch a glimpse of possums, and there’s a chance you’ll spot a koala nestled in the gum trees. The cheerful songs of kookaburras will further enrich your experience, creating a serene and lively atmosphere that connects you with nature. Please note that, as part of this natural setting, guests may occasionally hear the sounds of local wildlife or park activity. While these are part of the area’s charm, light sleepers may wish to plan accordingly.

Creaky floors, backyard grass 30cm high, kids bike with flat tires left in backyard, bike helmet left outside, other people's belongings left in drawers, only 1 towel and 1 face washer per person for 2 week stay, problems with washing machine, cheap dryer (Aldi) took very long time to dry clothes, only 2 bath mats for 2 bathrooms with 11 people staying in house. Enough room for 11, nice garden but needed weeding, only had small frypan needs a bigger one cooking for 11. Needs screen doors front and laundry - need to leave laundry door open when dryer on. Great having Netflix for wet days. Nice big windows for viewing. Stick rechargeable vacuum only lasts 10 mins. Located well for shops and beach and expressway to head north or south. I would re rent but at a cheaper price considering the quality of the house.

We really enjoyed this home mostly for the pool and location. The beds were all very comfortable . Our negatives were very dirty widows that ruined the ambience of the home, made it feel grubby. There was no mattress protectors. Generalcleanliness was low .

Peaceful and relaxing

A large home that is comfortable and quiet and having air conditioning in each room was great. Swimming pool was just perfect for those hot days we had. Local shopping was great and we experienced good takeaway. Overall this was perfect for a 2 week getaway, I would recommend.

Great Team Base

Sincere thanks to the property manager - very easy to get hold of and was super responsive to getting the hot water sorted out. The property worked really well for us, being a group of six adults. The group appreciated the warm welcome & the pantry supplies. Well appointed house in a great location - really good for sports event at SA Aquatic Centre. Thanks again

Perfect for us

Our family travelled to Adelaide from various locations around Australia to celebrate our youngest's 21st birthday. This house gave us a base to meet, get ready and then relax and recover the next day! We enjoyed having the large outdoor table to relax around and the pool to cool off in. The area is very quiet and surrounded by trees, making you forget that you're in the city, however shops and eateries are nearby. We would definitely re book again and have already recommended this place to friends.

Poolside great fun!

Good time for all family and pets but disappointed with oven not working, coffee machine inoperable, one cupboard handle semi-attached and very noisy floor boards particularly in corridor leading into secondary corridor, it actually sounds like a gunshot! Made contact with management about the oven and owner did not call us until well over an hour and texts back and forth were totally unsuccessful. Owners' English was hard to follow.
