While I understand that booking policies exist, I was disappointed that the hotel was unwilling to offer any flexibility, no partial refund, no rebooking option, and no alternative solution. A little empathy and goodwill in exceptional situations would have gone a long way. Instead, the response felt entirely transactional, which was disappointing. »
