Guest Access:
You will have the entire house and property to yourself. Only registered guests are allowed, unless specifically agreed during the booking process. The barn in the backyard beyond the garage area is strictly off limits to guests. We encourage taking walks on our property, however please be careful not to wander into our neighbor's backyards in the surrounding area.
The Neighborhood:
Sitting on 4 acres of hi-desert bliss! Ocotillo Sol is nestled in the Upper Sky Harbor neighborhood at the base of Joshua Tree National Park. Hiking is abundant near Black Rock Campground (NW corner of the national park), which is a 2-minute drive or 10-minute walk from the home. There is also beautiful hiking right outside of the door with trails that link to Black Rock Campground. The West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park is just 20 minutes away, with countless other area highlights within easy reach:

• Yucca Valley (10 min)
• Joshua Tree Village (15 min)
• Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (25 min)
• The Integratron (30 min)
• Palm Springs (45 min)
• Mt. San Jacinto State Park (90 min)
Of course, let’s not forget about the essentials. Everything you need is about 10 minutes by car.
Getting Around:
While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.
Other Things to Note:
POOL AND HOT TUB HEATING:
- Your rental includes heating for the in-ground pool from May-September.
- The hot tub is always free to heat.
- However, during the cooler months, there are extra charges for pool heating, see below.
- If you want the pool heated during these months, please let us know 48 hours before you arrive.
Extra Charges for Pool Heating:
October and April: $200 per night
November, December, March: $300 per night
January and February: Heating not available
No jumping, diving, running or rough play near the pool and hot tub area. No glass can be around the pool and hot tub, there are plastic cups in the kitchen to be used outside. Please mind the quiet hours (no loud noises after 10pm). No intoxicated persons may use the pool or hot tub. NO LIFEGUARD WILL BE ON DUTY - YOU SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
• Events & Photoshoots: Not permitted without prior approval and fees.
• Dogs: Welcome with a $100 fee (max 2). Notify us in advance.
• Social Media: Tag us when sharing your experience!
• Cell Service: Coverage varies; enable Wi-Fi calling or use a VOIP app.
• Road Conditions: Dirt roads may have ruts; drive carefully.
