With Grange Garth Cottage located less than 5 miles from York city centre, you have quick access to one of the most visited cities outside of London which is popular throughout the year with numerous festivals and magical Christmas markets. York offers many attractions to visit including the iconic minster, Railway Museum, Cliffords Tower and step back in time at the Jorvik Centre and the Castle Museum. Stroll along the cobbles down the world-famous Shambles or take one of the terrifying night-time ghost walks which are a must. This vibrant city is bursting at the seams with delightful restaurants, traditional inns serving real ales and a wide choice of tea shops including the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms. It is also a shopper’s paradise with a wealth of independent shops. For avid shoppers the Designer Outlet shopping centre is located just 2 miles from Naburn. The centre consists of numerous designer stores and eatery places.



Grange Garth Cottage also has plenty of scenic walks right on its doorstep, including a cycle path directly into York and surrounding areas. A country pub within walking distance which serves local ales and a bite to eat and further along the lane is York Marina Waterfront Cafe, serving food or coffee and cake which can be enjoyed on the terrace while watching the boats go by. Alternatively, Tea by the Locks offers tea coffee and cake, with a short walk along the riverbank.
