The Neighborhood:

Xagħra is one of Gozo’s most popular and well‑located villages: peaceful and residential, yet close to the island’s main attractions. The area is known for its traditional character, local cafés and bakeries around the main square, and easy access to both beaches and historic sites.



You’ll find everyday essentials within walking distance, including small shops and cafés. For swimming and boat trips, Marsalforn Bay is just a short drive away, while the famous red‑sand Ramla Beach is about 10–15 minutes by car. Victoria (Rabat), with its Citadel, markets, and larger supermarkets, is only around 5–7 minutes by car.



Xagħra is also home to the Ġgantija Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and offers a genuine Gozitan atmosphere with local feasts and community events, especially during the village festa in early September.



Getting Around:

Xagħra is a central and convenient base for exploring Gozo. The apartment is in a typical village location with local streets and on‑street parking nearby. For the most flexibility, a car is recommended; most attractions on the island are within 10–20 minutes’ drive.

- Ramla Beach: ~10–15 min by car

- Marsalforn Bay (swimming, boat trips, restaurants): ~10 min by car

- Victoria (Cittadella, shopping, markets): ~5–7 min by car

- Ġgantija Temples (UNESCO): ~5 min by car

Ride‑hailing apps such as Uber and Bolt operate in Malta and Gozo and are a convenient option for trips to beaches, restaurants, and Victoria, especially in the evenings. Local buses are available but less frequent than in Malta, so for day trips and beach visits a car or app‑based taxi is usually more practical.

This is a self check‑in holiday home. You will be able to access the Guest Portal once the eco tax has been paid and your Self Check‑In Form has been completed. Your door code will be available from 3:00 PM, our official check‑in time.



If you would like to drop off your luggage earlier, please message us and we will confirm if this is possible, depending on our cleaning schedule. This is a popular holiday home and our housekeeping team needs 5–6 hours to prepare the property to a high standard, so we appreciate your understanding.

Paying the eco tax online:

In line with Malta’s Environmental Contribution regulations, the eco tax must be paid securely via our online payment link before arrival. We will send you this link as soon as your booking is confirmed.



For a smooth arrival, we recommend paying the eco tax as soon as possible. This will allow you to complete your Self Check‑In Form and access the Guest Portal in time to start planning your stay.
