« The home was neat and clean. The host was very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed this place very much will stay again. »

« My family loved staying in the farmhouse. It is a beautiful home and it was perfect for our celebration of my mom’s 90th birthday. It was very clean and there were many special touches that were appreciated. It is in a lovely area and was very quiet. Communication with the host was exceptional. I highly recommend this property and would love to stay there again. »

« Unfortunately, there weren’t as many beds/rooms as listed so we weren’t able to stay there comfortably and ended up leaving. There were only two rooms. There was one room with a queen bed, one room with a bunk bed and a twin bed, and then a sofa couch in the living room. There was also a hallway that had a chair bed that we were asked to help bring in. We had six adults and two kids and could not fit in this home comfortably. There were also two cats that lived on the property outside that we...

« Very nice and clean property. We enjoyed our stay. The only issues were the water and ice dispenser were not working properly. Also, may be difficult for those that have trouble with stairs, But other than that it was a great stay. »

« Very impressive updates to this property. Everything was immaculate. Everything is well thought out for a family or just a couple. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware. Thoughtfully designed to sit out and enjoy nature. This is definitely a place we would come back to again »

« Perfect. Wonderful. Lovely. My heart was filled far beyond the size of the home. All the little touches, the awesome tub the kitchen and laundry accommodations, the firepit and surrounding woods made for the perfect ovenight getaway as I traveled south.***Highly recommend*** for any woodsy person and nature artist, such as myself.Love, love, loved it!!! Thank You Tyler!!! »

« Missy communicated well. »

« We only stayed in this rental one night as it was a quick stop over on our way down south. Accommodations were what we needed and expected for just an overnight stay. Bedrooms were clean, comfortable and very spacious with enough room for 2 families. The room we stayed in had a large king bed, and a single with trundle bed. Bathroom was clean; shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided by dispensers on the shower wall. It was very nice to have a small bathroom caddy filled with other...

« The host was very responsive and kind. The backyard is gorgeous and very peaceful and as weary travelers we enjoyed the views it afforded. »

« We loved the cottage. It's on beautiful property. Made us feel at home. Kitchen well supplied. Because I'm in my 70's, I had a hard time figuring out where to enter the access code. My kids would have had no problems. There were a number of things near the door and it took me a while to figure it out. That's probably on me, but you could mention where to enter the code. »

« Great communication and checking to ensure all was well. »

« We had a fantastic stay at SML and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Even with several days of rain, we still had an amazing time thanks to the thoughtful design and setup of the house. The property was spotless when we arrived, everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The abundance of amenities made it feel like home (and then some), and we especially appreciated all the little details that showed how much care went into preparing the house for guests. From the...

« Great stay close to Roanoke and all the adventures in the areas. »

« This was one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in. And to boot it had everything you would need for the stay on the lake, including kayaks, paddle board and a hot tub to warm up in after a chilly day on the lake. Yep, we were there in the dead of summer but temps remained in the low 70’s and 80’s with misty rain. The weather was meh, but the location and time with family was fabulous! The host was very responsive and very thoughtful with a welcoming snore kit to enjoy by their fire pit....

« Beautiful home and terrific location! »

« Beautiful home with great views - our family really enjoyed staying here. Everything was clean, plenty of space, and it looked better than the pictures from the listing. The garage is a great perk too. Home is surrounded by so much wildlife and beautiful fruit bushes and trees. Front porch sunsets are amazing! The only issue we had was at checkout, the cleaning crew came early while we were finishing packing up, and said checkout time was 10am, even though the listing and email confirmed 10:30am....

« The home feels very secluded allowing you to truly feel “away from it all”. Unfortunately with the low water levels we weren’t able to enjoy all of the amenities or dock our boat but that is something out of anybody’s control. The upper deck at the dock is perfect for watching sunsets. We were amazed by the wildlife. We saw a beautiful red fox nearly walk up to the deck. Three fawns grazing in the front yard. Raccoons trying to cause trouble on the deck mischievous critters that they are. The...

« We came to Hudson Haven for our final summer send-off before school starts back up. We loved the home and the location. Extremely clean and the host was excellent with prompt responses to any questions I had. Highly recommend!! »
