« This is a nicely designed and maintained hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. My only complaint is there is a good amount of noise from cars as the hotel is situated on the main road through the town. Also, if you’re driving a car and need to turn left onto the main road, it can be tricky due to the traffic traveling on the road in both directions and there’s no side exit from the parking lot onto a street with a stoplight or stop sign. « The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. The after hours check in was simple and the access to the room was right off the main driveway. Parking was easily accessible and close to the unit. « It is a little old but still okay. Nothing really stands out, nor is it too disappointing. The room with a sitting area makes it a little more spacious. The pool is closed. The gym is tiny. Breakfast is added back to fill up in time. »

« Refrigerator didn’t work and informed front desk who said maintenance was on site she will have someone look at it. More than 24 hrs later called the front desk for an update but they were unable to supply any information. We were offered another room so we had to pack up and unpack again. Was told by staff member Bryson that we would receive a monetary compensation but we did not get anything for our inconvenience. »

« The rooms tv didnt work, half the lamps didnt, there was mold in the shower and behind the mirror, there were cockroaches and other bugs all over the room. The bed had stains in it, cigarette holes, and a wet spot when i arrived. The entire property smells like marijuana outside. »

« We had a non-smoking room that smelled horrible of cigarette smoke with burn holes in the comforters. Stuff splattered on walls and toilet seat not completely clean. Staff was friendly, though. They came and mopped our floor with dirty water they had been using in all the other rooms. Would be a nice hotel if the rooms didn’t stink and they did a little better cleaning. »
