We booked this cabin for six nights, October 11–17, but left on October 13 because of multiple serious problems. The listing describes a bright, welcoming cabin with clean windows, a charming front porch, and a fully equipped kitchen. Our experience did not match that description. When we arrived, there was no running water. The front steps appeared unsafe, and the couch was unusable, with padding coming out. The windows were very dirty, and several curtains did not fit properly, leaving privacy concerns. We also found broken or difficult-to-use kitchen fixtures, including a drawer that would not open and a missing cabinet door. The downstairs bathroom had cardboard and exposed or improvised-looking electrical wiring, and there was unfinished paint in the main bedroom. There were also many flies in the home. We saw around 20, especially near the upper windows. They came down toward the lights at night, and by morning dead flies were on the floor or couch.I contacted the property manager repeatedly by phone and in writing during our stay, reported the problems, and provided photos and video. After about 24 hours without the issues being resolved, I told them we would leave and asked for a refund for the unused nights. I was told they had contacted the owner about replacing the couch, but that did not address the other problems or help us during our stay. After we left, Vrbo told me the host had denied the refund request and that any refund would have to come from the host
