Short visit in North Caicos after Middle...

I think we just expected differently for how expensive it was to stay, costs where more than other locations we looked into. It's a bit dark all around, lighting could be better. Didn't really utilize the additional 2 rooms prior to entering the apartment as other folks are right there next to you, so not much privacy at all unless you don't mind hearing other conversations. We thought there were only 2 units, not 4 but only 2 occupied at the time. Unfortuantely, I don't think we would stay here if we had the choice to do it again ;-( But Property Manager's cooking was phenomenal!!

Peaceful Retreat on North Caicos

The property sits in a very safe area on a nice clean beach overlooking the beautiful turquoise water. There are 4 suites with some shared spaces outside but we always felt we had the place to ourselves! The deck overlooking the ocean is where we spend many days with cool beverages and some music lounging in the sun. We had 2 amazing meals and had left overs for lunch the next day. We met some locals who were very friendly as well. We walked the beach in both directions and even made a couple stops at Barracudas which is maybe a half mile down the beach and met a couple other people there. We met Jane and her husband who books the place and enjoyed some time with them as well. This place is for those that want to feel like they are out of the city and want purely relax in nature and the beach. We will be back!

Beautiful spot

Beautiful beach, very few people. Loved being in the water and having beach almost to ourselves. Exploring Middle Caico was fun, so I do recommend having a car. If you are sensitive to bug bites, watch out!! Alveda was very nice and helpful.

Beach getaway

We had a great experience at Hollywood suites. It was the isolated beach experience we hoped for, yet an excellent restaurant (Barracuda) a short walk down the beach. It was very windy every day, but we kayaked out to reef to snorkel and still had a great experience. I think it would have been great to have had a sailboat as an activity option for windy days. Mudjin Harbor beach the most beautiful I have ever seen, must see.

Very beautiful beach. Looks even better than the pictures. The property manager is very nice and helpful. In general people on island are very pleasant. This place is very isolated and quiet. There are strong winds and it is very dark in the night. The water is not suitable for drinking. You have to buy water. Grocery options are very limited on the island and so are restaurants. The island overall is very underdeveloped and there are very few facilities. If your idea of vacation is to be by yourself ( cook clean as well) then it is a good spot.

Everything you need in life

Wow! Everything you need in life is right here. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is clean and has many dishes , screened porch to keep bugs out and store some belongings. Kayaks, life jackets, frisbee, hammocks, barbecue all provided. They have thought of everything. And, if they don't have it, Alveda, the caretaker, will find it for you. Alveda picked us up at the ferry, arranged a rental car (which we had not previously arranged and she got it in less than 12 hours), and tooks us back to the ferry. She is a gem. We also enjoyed a homecooked meal of snapper from her that was delicious. i would not hesitate to book this place. If you are going to North Caicos, this is an amazing location with everything you need.

Rest & Relaxation

We had a really nice experience. It was exactly what we needed. Right on the water, kayaks, books, movies, and mosquito spray available for us provided by the property. Ms. Alveda was very welcoming and everyone she coordinated for us for rides, etc. If you are looking for a place that is extremely laid back and you want quiet and rest this is most definetly a place to stay. We will most defintely be back.

Secluded

We loved Alveda and the meal she cooked for us! North Caicos is very secluded and I felt like we were on Gilligans Island. Our favorite places to go were Dragon Cay at Mudjin Harbor. Brenda makes the best Pina Colados ever!! We also loved Barracuda Bar and Grill. We left early because I wanted to shop and be around other people. If you are looking for seclusion this island is awesome!!

Secluded, Lovely

Of the many islands I've visited, the beach and water here is the most beautiful. It's very secluded. You don't see many others on the beach. There's decent snorkeling but you have to swim out quite a way to see it. Fortunately, the water remains shallow for hundreds of feet from shore. I was able to catch dinner from the shore for half the nights we stayed. The food situation on the island is very limited. Few restaurants and the grocery stores don't stock much. So, if fancy meals are your thing, this island is not for you. On the other hand, if you want a low-key experience with some of the most beautiful sand and sea in the world, this is your place. Alveda, the property manager, was terrific and arranged things like a rental car and taxis for us.

Greeted at the ferry by Alveda who drove us to the property. Got around on the new bicycles for the duration of our stay. Beach was mere steps out our door. Lovely view from our private screened porch. Kitchen was well equipped and efficient. Alveda acted as our personal concierge to make sure we had what we needed. She cooked us wonderful dinners on request. We kayaked and biked and walked on the beach. Read on the deck or on the porch. Quite a lovely and peaceful few days in paradise. I cannot recommend Hollywood Beach Suites more highly. It is a true gem.

Truly fantastic villa, amazing experience

My wife and I had a phenomenal experience here at Hollywood Beach Suites, and we highly recommend this villa, the location, and the host / property manager. Truly a 5 star experience all around. Beach - the villa is right on the beach and while we did explore the island of North and Middle Caicos thoroughly, we honestly could have just parked ourselves right there at the villa’s beach for the whole week. The coastlines goes on for miles in both directions. The lounge chairs, canoes, beach chairs, deck area, and snorkel equipment really added to the experience. Villa - the villa itself was cute and charming with thoughtful design to make the most out of the kitchen area. The A/C was cold, the bed was comfortable, and the screen porch area was private with great views and good protection from bugs. The property manager - Alveda took great care of us and really made this experience special. We had a great lobster dinner at sunset overlooking the beach for our anniversary, and she helped make sure everything from our pick up, our car rental, and our necessities were taken care of. She honestly single handedly made our trip a lot better, and everything from her restaurant recommendations to her cab driver recommendation was top notch. North Caicos itself - the island is truly a magical, remote place. Every beach we went to had a max of 10 people on it, and many beaches felt private — we joked that we felt like billionaires who had reserved a private island, that’s how private and pristine some of these beaches felt. It’s not for everyone, as facilities and necessities can be hard to come by and expensive, but if you want tropical paradise and freedom from beach crowds, I think this is the best island possibly in the entire world. Nothing I’ve seen compares to having places like Mudjin, Three Mary’s Cay, Cedar Point Beach, Hollywood beach, pumpkin bluff, horse table beach, etc, almost all to yourself. These beaches are the type of beaches that you’d expect to be slathered with tourists and resorts and vendors and stalls — but here, they are just pristine and hardly busy at all. A true 5 star experience all around.

Quiet island getaway

Alveda took great care of us during our stay. There's both a restaurant and grocery store within short walking distance. Like the rest of North and Middle Caicos the location is very quiet and secluded.

North Caicos and Hollywood Beach Suites are Incredible

The Property is on an absolutely beautiful beach. It is also located in a place that allows a person without a car to venture out on bicycles that are provided to go to other beautiful beaches, There are literally miles of beaches you can walk and you may not see another person. There is 1 quaint Tiki hut (Baracuda) that offers food and beer within 200 yards on the beach and another GREAT RESTAURANT about 15 miunutes down the beach called Silver Palms. Great homemade meals, desserts and ICE CREAM !! The Hollywood Beach Suites Property Manager (Alveda)met us at the ferry when we arrived. Made us feel real welcome. She drove us to the suites and showed us verything we needed to relax after travelling. She then drove away to get our prepared Lobster meal that she cooked. SHe is a wonderful chef that can cook all of the meals you request, The stay was great and we will return !!

20th anniversary most relax celebration

My husband and I stayed for one week end of Jan 2020 for our anniversary. Perfect beach so quiet, the most busy day we saw 6 people while walking on the 7 miles beach. The unit was perfect, very clean and comfortable. Alveda the propriety MGR is so nice and she takes care of all your reservations and always make sure we had everything we needed. Make sure you take an early flight in to have time to stop by IGA for fresh vegetables before you take the ferry to the North island. the local north grocery store is good but delivery of vegetables and variety make it difficult to get. The bikes supplied with the room are ok but make sure the brakes work, good for little trip to the grocery store but may be not for long distance. Make sure to rent a car for two days for visiting Mudjin and 3 Mary Cays. Ps best Coconut Ice cream I ever had at ParrotIce on your way to Mudjin before Bottle Creek, Sherry the owner is so sweet. If you venture in secluded beach be aware the mosquitoes are in numbers, so bug spray is really needed but like at the house no need until dusk. Having the screen porch is so nice. Best place to see a sunset is at Sandy Point beach the day you have the car it is beautiful and quiet, we were the only one there. Our beach was the best as far as water, view and access since it is right there from your room, the deck we use for lunch and reading taking a rest from the sun, the trees give a nice shade over the hammock as well, love it. Hollywood Beach Vacation

This property is nicely located on a beautiful beach. The suite is perfect for a couple and it was very comfortable. We rode our bikes to the nearby market and we walked down the beach to a very nice beach side bar and grill. We rented a car for a few days and toured the rest of North Caicos and also Middle Caicos. We would highly recommend thus property for anyone who is looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway!

Stunning beach escape

The property consists of 4 suites and we were the only guests for all but one night, which was an unexpected bonus. Alveda took excellent care of us - we couldn’t have had a better host! The suite was very comfortable and we enjoyed using the bikes, kayaks and snorkeling gear. If you want a complete escape from urban life, this is it.

Perfect Location

Being a condo owner and very familiar with renters, owners are only as good as their representatives. With that said Ms. Alveda (manager) was the best thing that we have enjoyed from our trip to North Caicos. We enjoyed the stay and would return in a heart beat but if you are looking for Caribbean experience, hospitality and grace look no further. Location, location, location is the key and this place. Perfect beach, deck and the million dollar view that you will Not get any other place on the island. Paradise is very real and this place comes very close to it. Thank you for the hospitality. Quiet Little Paradice!

We needed an escape from “life” for a few days and that was exactly what we found! Quiet, well appointed, comfortable, private, the most beautiful beach we have ever experienced, the food at The Baracuda was yummy. We didn’t rent a car so we walked and road their bikes when we needed. A perfect getaway! They do need to provide drinking and cooking water since the water is not drinkable. We ordered a 6 gallon case be brought in and were glad we did. Alveda, our hostess, was outstanding in her thoughtfulness and care for us while we were there.

Awesome secluded paradise

What a great gem. We were greeted at the dock by Mrs. Gardiner and taken the short trip to Hollywood where she had our Snapper dinner waiting and warm for us. It was amazing! She arranged our car rental and she was absolutely excellent. We were the only couple at the suites for several of our 9 nights. This area of North Caicos was very non-touristy this time of year. We walked on the beaches, sometimes for hours, completely alone! It was mesmerizingly beautiful and quiet. Rent a car! Three Mary Cays and Mudjin Harbour is down the road and is a must to see. At Hollywood, I used the kayak to go out about 3/4ths the way to the reef and saw all kinds of coral heads and fish. The water is stunningly turquois and clear. Breakfast on the deck with the sun coming up was amazing. Every evening we watched the sun set and listened to the waves. The screened patio was perfect. The kitchen, bath, and bedroom were all good. Not 5 stars but you cannot believe the stars you will see at night! We bought food at the IGA on Provo before we came over. It's a struggle to get it over on the ferry but can be done. Buy water and liquids once on the island. Grocery food is available but not that great. Most things close Sunday till afternoon if at all. I can't stress enough to bring CASH. We spent $1900 in 9 days and did not eat out that much but we rented kayaks and ate 3 times at "Last Chance Bar and Grill", must do! My Dee's, Silver Palm, Ms. B's, Baracuda, and Aqautic were all good too. Top two food- Last Chance and Mudjin Harbor Bar and Grill. Roads can be almost non-existent/ washed out. Use common sense. MUST go to Mudjin Harbor on Middle Caicos and hike the "Crossing Place" 1.5 to 2 hours hiking and not another soul but stunning ocean cliff views and secluded beaches. Conclusion? Perfect place to unwind and decompress. No TV aside from DVD movies. Cell phone reception is great everywhere, Wifi not so much/no. The suites are nice, not 5 star, but make up for it in location. This is not a place for pampering or partying as that doesn't really exist here. It is quite, beautiful, majestic and all those other words to describe paradise. Mrs. Alveda Gardiner is a gem and makes the stay that much better. We would go back and probably will.
