« There is little soundproofing between rooms and every step can be heard from the room upstairs and next to us. We could hear every step from above and also conversations that prevented us from getting much sleep. We were also woken early by guests in the room next door who entertained guests on the porch and took chairs from our porch without regard for us in the room next to them. « The room was clean, but one of the most spartan rooms I've ever stayed in, particularly for the cost, considering there wasn't a dresser, barely a closet, places to put soap at the sink or in the shower, or even a towel rack. We saw a couple of the housekeeping staff a few minutes for the two days we were there. Their bistro was closed, so we needed to find dining. We had the best luck finding food in Stanwood, but the only table in our room was the iron set on the patio. It's February. Too...
