Algarve guest house, Weston-Super-Mare

We had a friendly welcome and shown to our room immediately. The room was nicely decorated, comfy and clean. We were offered a a pot of tea even though there was a well stocked tray in the room. We were then left to relax. The owners were not far away when we had a query and for the remainder of the time we were able to come and go as we pleased. We were only booked for the one night. The breakfasts next morning were perfect. Everything we could ask for. We will go back again for sure

Just "bed" no breakfast

Good location with plenty of parking. Be mindful that the dining room can only hold 3 tables, and each room gets a time slot for breakfast. If you were a late check-in like I was, you're out of luck on eating breakfast at a reasonable hour (who wants to eat 2 hours before check out?). In lieu of the English breakfast, they also didn't offer any fruit or yogurt. Defeats the whole purpose of a "bed and breakfast".

A pleasant place to stay

Overall, a pleasant place to stay. Basically what you'd hope for from a nice B&B - pleasant friendly owner, comfortable, clean, good breakfast. I stayed in the single room with separate private bathroom (not "en-suite" as hotels.com says). The room is very small, though it is advertised as such (again, not on hotels.com). The only things I found lacking were a few more TV channels and some sort of bedside table - no room for it, but perhaps a small moveable table, or even a small shelf above the bed would have done. Bathroom has a bath and there's a sink in the room. I would have used the wifi, due to weak mobile phone internet reception, however, when I discovered this, it was too late at night to bother the owner, and there wasn't a note of the wifi code anywhere. Not a major problem, though would have been handy. Location is very good - nice part of town, away from town centre noise, but easily walkable, and very close to the beach. The street is generally quiet with some minor traffic noise at times. There was free on-street parking available at 6pm on a Friday in July, which surprised me, as well as spaces at the B&B itself. The train station is only 15 mins walk away (20-30 mins by train to Bristol). Price was about right, given it was a weekend in high season, though I wouldn't pay so much out of season for such a small room. Breakfast above average and no problems ordering what I wanted. Overall, not a 4 star hotel, but not claiming to be. Above average for a B&B.

Hone from Home

The hospitality was second to non. Chris and Jo couldn't do enough for us. Wonderful selection of food for breakfast with home made bread. Always a lovely piece of home made cake to have with our cup of tea on return to the Algarge. The room was lovely and clean and a very comfortable bed. The hotel was a short walk from the beach and about ten minutes walk to the pier and shops. We would have no hesitation in recommending this destination to all our friends and family. We will definitely stay here again.

Algarve Guest House - comfy with good breakfast

I was greeted by friendly staff who saw me to my room with a comfortable bed and tea and coffee-making facilities. Was great to have a free bottle of water and some biscuits. Breakfast was great. Staff made whatever I liked, using good ingredients. Better breakfast than at some hotels costing 3x the price. Particularly liked the touch of having Dorset Cereals muesli, my favourite.

Pleasant and relaxing

A lovely friendly welcome and a cosy, clean room. plenty of tea and biscuits in room. Fresh towels daily and lovely breakfast choice with friendly, homely service. about 15 minute walk from town and pier but lovely views of the seafront on the way. There is a bus stop in the road. Parking available for 2 cars offroad and space up and down the road. I would stay here again!

BEST B&B IN WESTON

EXCELLENT FOOD, SPOTTLESLY CLEAN,THE MOST WELCOMING OF HOSTS. HIGHLY RECOMENDED TO ANYONE. THE HOSTS JO AND CHRIS WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE THAT WE HAD A GREAT BREAK IN WESTON. NEITHER MYSELF OR MY WIFE WANTED TO LEAVE. WE WILL CERTAINLY BE RETURNING.

Algarve Guest House

We had never been to Weston supermare before and found this little gem of a b&b the Algarve guest house and enjoyed our one nights stay here. The owners were very friendley and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The breakfast was excellent and the guest house was extremley comfy and we hope to return for a longer stay soon.

The Algarve in Weston Super-Mare. A Gem!

The owners, Chris & Jo were very welcoming and went out of their way to provide an excellent experience. I would highly recommend the Algarve. Little touches included bottles of complimentary water in the room. We were arriving after the check in time shown, but a phone call to the hotel meant we received a warm, welcome on our very late arrival. The owners even went out of their way to purchase & provide vegetarian food for the members of our family who were vegetarian. The breakfast was great as far as both the vegetarians and non-vegetarians in our family were concerned. Close to the beach & pier and train station & shops. Highly recommended!
