« We stayed in room 237 which is directly across from the stairwell. Cold air gushed up the stairs and into our room. There was no good way to regulate the temperature. We have stayed at this hotel many times and have never had problems. However I will never stay in that room again. »

« Truly amazing hosts, Dan and Margaret make you feel so welcome. Their breakfasts are amazing, tarts and apple crisp to augment omelettes and pancakes! They take time to get to know their guests. The surrounding acres are beautiful riverside that you can take advantage of via kayak or canoe. It is adjacent to a YMCA facility so the stay is quiet and serene. « A really magnificent departure from the mid-range, vanilla hotels that we business travelers frequent. You'll experience coolness overload when you stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the communal areas are stunning in a way that fans of Gustav Stickley, Teco, Weller, etc won't easily forget. The breakfast was superb too. The only drawback-It was really hot, and the A/C in this old girl couldn't keep up. Luckily there was a large fan in the room.
