« We had a lovely double room with a sofa bed for our boys. The room was spacious with a lovely ensuite. Breakfast was delicious and included gluten free options. A nice climbing frame/ slide in the garden. Friendly staff. »

« The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes »

« Nice rooms over a pub. Stayed here for convenience of getting to the Isle of Wight ferry. Very helpful staff. Good food and drinks Traveling with heavy luggage, beware- No elevator. Staff will help carry it! Would stay here again. »

« Le propriétaire nous a très bien accueilli. La chambre et les lieux communs étaient très propres. Le propriétaire nous a rendu la tâche plus facile pour le retour avec un déjeuner plus tôt et l'appel d'un taxi. »

« The whole building was unique. unusual but very comfortable. We could have done with another chair in the Room.....but other than that fine. 'Mine host ' was very friendly and helpful. We had a bit of banter. »

« I had a lovely stay. It was convenient for me as the place has a bike shed easily accessible at any time. Room was comfy and the breakfast was delicious. The owners had plenty of helpful advice for things to do. »

« A lovely peaceful hotel, beautifully decorated. Pleasant staff. Relaxing bar and lounge. Good choice at breakfast. Free parking and ideally located with a shortish walk to the beach (via Toft zigzag). Not too far from town centre which is 5 mins by car. »
