The Salmon River Cottage

Hello and thank you for stopping to check out our vacation home! Over the past two years we remodeled our little guest cottage along the Salmon River in Welches, Oregon with custom wood finishes, modern appliances, heated bathroom flooring, and a new king size bed and mattress for the most comfortable stay possible in the forest! We spent a lot of time making this a home that we would stay in ourselves, and we hope you find it just as cozy and fun as we do!
Our little town of Welches sits at the foot of Mount Hood and will give you access to all of the outdoor recreation activities that the mountain provides. Whether you want to just listen to the sound of the river while unwinding in front of the fireplace, or if you prefer to get outside on a hike, bike, kayak, or snowboard, then this cabin has it all for you! And in addition to these activities, we are also just a few minutes from the oldest golf course in Oregon - the beautiful Mt. Hood Resort golf course. It has three nine hole courses that wind through the forest along the river. There are endless things to do on Mount Hood in any season!
Our one bedroom cottage is best suited for one to two guests, but also has a sofa bed in the living room should you require it. The cottage sits perched along a protected wildlife corridor with a seasonal creek that runs just feet away from the deck into the river below. In the fall to winter months, you will see native Coho salmon spawning in the creek and you might catch a glimpse of a Chinook making its way up the river to spawn. We have bald eagles, blue heron, deer, bears, and even the occasional bobcat and cougar in our immediate area. Due to the fact we live so close to protected salmon habitat, we kindly ask that you keep your pets at home while visiting the cottage.
