Wren at Sheltered Paddock by Tiny Away
Summary:
Welcome to Wren at Sheltered Paddock by Tiny Away! This tiny house is the perfect escape in Victoria for those seeking tranquility, comfort, and a breath of fresh country air. Surrounded by stunning valley views, your hosts, Daryl and Tracy, care for the friendly livestock and manage the rolling green pastures. Here, you can slow down, relax, and reconnect with nature as you immerse yourself in the beauty of rural life.
Heading our way in October? Don’t miss the Blue Pyrenees Estate Avoca Cup on Saturday, 18 October! #TinyHouseVictoria #HolidayHomes
The Space:
Wren at Sheltered Paddock is a private, secluded tiny home set apart from other holiday homes on the property. Drift off under a star-filled sky and wake to birdsong and kangaroos grazing nearby. The farm stay is tucked away in nature, in the tranquil countryside of Warrenmang in the Pyrenees Wine Region—just an hour from Ballarat.
Join us on Saturday 11 April 2026 at the picturesque Avoca River Flat! Sip, taste, and unwind at the Pyrenees Unearthed Festival — a day of fine wine, local food, live music, and laid-back country vibes. Don’t miss it!
Ideally located for exploring the region, the festival is just minutes from local gems like Summerfield Winery and the Avoca Hotel. For those seeking adventure, the Grampians National Park is only about an hour’s drive away — with scenic stops in Stawell and Halls Gap, and highlights including Boroka Lookout, MacKenzie Falls, and The Pinnacle.
This cozy 139-square-foot tiny home offers stunning views of the rolling Pyrenees Hills. It features split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and a bathroom equipped with a flushing toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’re booking for a group, you can take a pick of some of our additional holiday homes (Olive, Clyde, Wren, Monte and Stella) available with just 24 hours' notice.
Our farm stay runs on solar energy, so we kindly ask guests to conserve power during the day. Please note that this is a working farm, so you may hear tractor and farm animals noise, including sheep and Highland cows, during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to our cozy tiny home and its surrounding grounds, except the host’s private residence. If interested, preorders are available with 24 hours' notice:
- Firewood is available at a cost of $20 per night, paid directly to the host
- Enjoy the BBQ facilities or gather around a warm fire in the shared common area, open to all guests
- Wifi is available at an extra cost of $10. Password will be provided at check-in, as we operate on metered satellite internet
- For an extra touch of luxury, reserve our serene wood-fired bathtub, offering breathtaking views—available by advance booking
GUEST NOTE: We also have common restroom accessible to guests equipped with a flush toilet approximately 15 meters from the tiny house.
The Neighborhood:
Wren at Sheltered Paddock by Tiny Away is nestled in the rustic countryside, featuring a blend of cropping fields, livestock pastures, and vineyards. In addition to nearby wineries, guests can delve into the vast State Forest, offering opportunities for bushwalking, mountain biking, and trail bike riding.
Pyrenees Pies & Takeaway, The Olive & Lavender Store, and Home Made Cafe, are all easily accessible, just a short 18-minute drive from the tiny house. What's more, we're conveniently located just an hour's drive from Ballarat.
Local Recommendations: Visit Summerfield Winery for exceptional wines and wood-fired pizzas, Sally’s Paddock for hearty food, Avoca Waterfalls for seasonal hiking, Taltarni Vineyard for a unique barrel room tasting experience, and Blue Pyrenees Estate for delicious tapas in a scenic vineyard setting.
Scenic Day Trip (1-Hour Drive): Explore Stawell for its rich gold rush history, Grampians National Park for dramatic landscapes and waterfalls, and Halls Gap for must-see spots like Boroka Lookout, Mackenzie Falls, and The Pinnacle.
