Cozy 220 Year Colonial with a spectacular view
Settle in and enjoy our 1800 colonial farmhouse on Mountain View Road in our charming town of Tinmouth, Vermont, at the foot of the Taconic Mountains. 3100 square feet of country living, located just 30 minutes from Killington, Bromley, and Okemo Ski Mountains. 5 minutes from the Tinmouth Mountain Ridge Trail, and some of the best views we've ever seen.
We were lucky to have a beautiful holiday weekend exploring the mountain towns of Vermont. I found the location âcentralâ to many of the small towns we wanted to visit but easily accessible to larger towns and Rutland city if needed. The home is beautifully decorated, clearly with intentional, slowly collected items that have practical use and beauty. The historic home has several vintage and antique features that are in great working condition, reminding us to remain sustainable within our own home. I love that despite the age of items- from lamps to stoves to sinks and kitchenware and furniture, (even a Nintendo and VHS!) everything was in working order and the host didnât skip out providing modern necessities that are important to us when traveling- soft, cotton towels; crisp sheets and comfortable beds and pillows. Weâd definitely stay again!
We had such a lovely time at this beautiful and quaint farmhouse in VT.
Our host, Andy, was so responsive and a pleasure to deal with.
The farmhouse is so cozy and and immaculate.
Our kids absolutely LOVED the movie projector and were blown away by the array of movies they had to choose from.
Andy, Asha and Sprout- thank you for making our stay so comfortable. When we are in the area again, we would love to stay at your beautiful farmhouse again!!!
The house is gorgeous - quaint and comfortable. If you're a stickler for sterile, sleek hotels, this is not your place. If you love vintage charm, it is. The hosts were very communicative and if you stay here don't miss the Squier Family farm with produce, jams and premade meals from Sissy. Amazing! Also, in Dorset the HN Williams general store is a must visit - a has-everything you need general store with such charm and a lovely staff.
The pictures do no justice to the homely beauty of the Tinmouth house. Every room is a treasure and itâs amenities are lovely. My friends and I are already planning a return visit.
