North Shore Tropical Studio with breathtaking mountain views!

This beautiful studio apartment with stunning mountain views is a perfect place to unwind for your North Shore get-away. The studio features a queen bed with additional twin bed, and it sleeps up to 3 people. There is air conditioning which you are welcome to use to keep cool while you are enjoying the unit. The studio is equipped with a full bathroom, kitchenette (no stove, but there is a hot plate), spacious patio deck, access to washer/dryer, and is situated on a gated estate with lots of tropical fruit! Close to Haleiwa town, Waialua & Mokuleia beaches, hikes, and all the North Shore has to offer.

You can pick delicious fresh fruit straight from the organic farm orchards on the property - mangos, papayas, guavas, avocados, lychee, dragonfruit, oranges, grapefruit, apples, dragoneye, bananas, macadamia nuts - depending what's in season when you visit. There is a beautiful beach with a few amazing surf breaks right down the street! It's about 2.5 blocks to the ocean, about a 10 minute walk! Rinse off in one of our hot outdoor showers under the sunset sky when you come home from the beach as the moon and stars come out for the night.

Property is located in a country neighborhood with typical pet and country animal noises (roosters, dogs, etc.) There are dogs on property in a gated area. The tenants who live on property will allow them to run freely through the yard for exercise two or three times per day then bring them up to their house each evening. There is a gate with a padlock that you will need to put a code into and then manually push a gate open and close behind you every time you enter and exit the property.

This is a quiet country setting, so expect to hear typical country sounds like dogs, roosters, people & road noise. You can hear big waves crashing in winter during high surf season. You will occasionally hear EMS vehicle sirens if they are driving by in response to emergencies and the once-monthly testing of sirens at 11:45am on the 1st business day of the month. The neighborhood dogs howl at the sirens. A few times per year, people in the neighborhood light off fireworks at night.

Long-term tenants and other rentals on property. Please do not bring animals to this property. There is a dog on property who loves people but does not like other dogs. For everyone's safety, please do not bring animals to this property! Our cleaner also uses essential oils for cleaning the inside of the unit which are safe for human beings of all ages, but these essential oils are known to be toxic and fatal to dogs. This is not a safe environment for ANY animals to stay at.

Please do not attempt to charge electric vehicles at this property. This is an older home, and the electric system is not wired to be able to accommodate EV charging. EV charging requires it be the only thing charging in that circuit. If you attempt to charge an electric vehicle here, you will be putting your lives, as well as the lives of all our other tenants at risk. We thank you in advance for not putting lives at risk by starting explosions or electrical fires due to attempting UNSAFE EV charging here. There is a SAFE EV charging station 3 miles away in Hale'iwa town near Stonefish restaurant.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any late check-outs or early check-ins at this rental. You will need to select the travel insurance when making your reservation to insure your stay and get any type of refund should your travel plans change. The host is unable to provide any refunds in the event that you need to cancel your reservation for any reason. We are unable to offer any refunds due to weather, natural disasters, medical emergencies preventing you from traveling, medical conditions of you or your family or friends, deaths in your family, or any other reasons preventing you from traveling. Your traveler's insurance should cover those situations and they will be the ones you will need to contact for refunds. In the event of a utility outage, the host is not responsible for any loss of utility usage or inability to acces amenities including water, hot water, electricity, wifi, fans, air conditioning, television, cooking equipment, coffee maker, lights, ability to charge your devices, etc. No refunds will be issued for utility loss due to weather or other unforseen circumstances from the utility companies. â–Ș No animals allowed. There are animals living on the property who love all people but do not get along with unfamiliar animals they do not know. Do not bring any animals of any kind to this property as it will risk injuries & lives.
â–Ș No smoking inside, outside or anywhere on the property. Any smoking must be done off the property on the street.
â–Ș Absolutely No Electric Vehicle Charging anywhere on this property. The electric system is older and is UNSAFE for any EV charging. Do not risk lives by attempting to jerry-rig an unsafe extension cord charging port for your EV. You could start an electrical fire & kill people!
â–Ș Any complaints must be made within 1 hour of check-in directly to the property manager through the VRBO messaging system.
â–Ș No events of any kind allowed anywhere on the property.
â–Ș The air-conditioning must be turned off when you are not inside the unit. When air-conditioning is being used, all windows must be closed.
â–Ș Quiet hours are from 10pm until 7am every night.

We had a really great stay! But there were a couple of things I’d love to see updated. Here was my experience..PROS:* The people were SO nice and welcoming. * The beds were comfy* The mangoes from the trees were INCREDIBLE * The kitchen was equipped with the basics, not much more. The hot plate gets VERRRRY hot and stays hot for a long time, so be careful * Lots for little kids to play on* The view of the mountain is breathtaking CONS:* One of the dogs was scary to have my daughter around. They kept it in a pen, but it snarled at her a lot* The window AC cooled down the sleeping area, but not the kitchen, hall or bathroom* The walls REALLY need a good scrub/wipedown* There was no table to use as a dining table. This was a huge issue for us. * Like others have said in other reviews
 it IS a total pain to have to lock and unlock the padlock on the double entry gate every time you come or leave the property. A lockbox would even be easier because the numbers would be bigger - they’re very hard to see how it is now* The curtains were very annoying - they need more panels because they don’t actually cover the windows fully on the sides, or are completely sheer (no privacy). Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The family on the lower level who lives there full time was so gracious and lovely. Our young daughters became fast friends :)

I wasn’t prepared for a compound or getting out to unlock and lock padlock for gate each time we left. I knew people lived in the house on main level, but wasn’t aware of other buildings.I knew there were dogs, but barked at us coming and going. The stay was fine, but not what I was expecting.

Lovely upstairs studio that looks like it’s been recently renovated. It has everything you need for your stay. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was well set up. The sunrise from the room and balcony was breathtaking. It is a multiple unit property. A couple of other residents have big dogs that were well managed but good to know that it’s communal living. The only challenge was having lock and unlock the entry gate. It is a short drive to Haleiwa and its quaint shopping and dining spots.

We were very impressed with the beauty & cleanliness of this rental. The property manager was very responsive, helpful and went above & beyond to ensure our needs were met. Excellent, prompt responses and very friendly manager. The unit was very spacious and quiet. We used the air conditioning and we didnt hear any of the neighborhood noises at night that other reviews mentioned. The views were breathtaking and we loved using the large deck space. I was able to enjoy some late season mangos, plus starfruit, papayas, avocados, and we even cracked open a few macadamia nuts frest off the tree in the yard. I will definitely be back!

Very well kept property with parking right next to the front door. I was concerned about the dog and rooster noise mentioned in prior reviews, turns out there was nothing to be worried about. Once the dogs get to know you the barking is extremely minimal. Can’t recommend this property enough.

I knew it was a small studio but was a bit surprised how little. The kitchen was stocked with a type of plastic like material for cups and plates I prefer ceramic coffee cups and plates. The tenant downstairs loaned me several cups. There was no coffee pot, however on request was brought one. The location and view really made me happy with choice of this studio. You don’t need much in a beautiful location. It wa private and off the road. There were tenants on property but I didn’t mind. There was air conditioning which was a plus. The kitchen was really not functional for cooking. This was a disappointment. There was a code on lock to get in which was nice for privacy but very tiny numbers to read. I would return because it was clean and location, location
 The beach was close, the view beautiful, and bike path also close.

The property was pretty much as advertised. It was very clean. You had to leave the unit to get to the bathroom across the hall which was a little bit odd. Also, there is a step between the living area and the kitchen that one could easily fall over. I put a Gatorade bottle on the step so I didn't fall flat on my face. The unit itself is tiny. There is no desk to set up a laptop inside. The outdoor porch is nice. Nice location and easy to find. Overall, satisfied with the unit although some wine glasses or beer mugs would be nice.

Comfortable studio apartment above the main residence is located in a typical, residential neighborhood about a fifteen minute walk to the beach. There are no amenities within walking distance. The adorable little town of Haleiwa is a fifteen minute drive and is full of tourist amenities. The four large dogs on the property do bark during the nights and early morning hours but not continuously. The “orchard” is a dozen trees that do bear some fruit despite being neglected. There’s a busy main thoroughfare that runs along the border of the property. The full time residents are quiet and polite. The Mountain View is gorgeous.

I am from Hawaii, the North Shore of Oahu, and had recently sold my house. I had family in town and needed a bigger place for them to stay, It was an absolutely perfect beautiful space, all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, quiet, a close walk to the beach, and a beautiful property. I will definitely be staying there again in the future.

We had a great time staying here! The property is nice and big, and there will likely be residents around in the other parts of the house. However the studio is on the 2nd floor and feels nice and private, plus has gorgeous views from the windows. The bathroom was nice and clean and the mini kitchen is nice for coffee/tea/storing leftovers/etc. Would definitely recommend this unit for anyone looking for a nice, quiet and beautiful location for 1-2 people :)

Easy-to-find property just off a main road, in a rural residential community. Just a few minutesÂŽ drive to a public beach. A breakfast&luch cafe is 2miles away. On the premises and on the neighboring property, there are many animals, esp. dogs and roosters. So as stated in previously published reviews, animal noise at night or in the early morning is an issue. There is also some noise from the road. The room is welcoming, AC is efficient, nice balcony. The double bed is rather on the narrow side, those who sleep in it must know each other well. Bathroom is on the other side of the stairwell. The gate to the property is locked with a padlock, which is a bit tricky to handle if you are a single traveller, because you will have to get out of the car twice. Instructions sent beforehand were very detailed and easy to understand. Room was very clean.

I am so glad we stayed here! I wanted an authentic Hawaiian stay. We got that! The tropical fruit trees all over the property that we were able to explore were wonderful and tasty everyday of our stay. I never knew Avocado's could grow so big! We wanted to be near the water. We got that! Nightly quiet walks to the beach (which were almost deserted) to see the sunset was breathtaking. Needed to make sure any questions were answered timely. Very impressed! Ran low on TP, host made sure we had a roll ASAP. Close enough to food and shopping. Definitely got that! I fell in love with the North Shore area and relaxed Hawaiian vibe. Honestly, this was not my first choice when we were planning out Hawaii vacation because of people complaining about the animals. The birds were there, dogs, ect. but so were the flowers, the wonderful smells, the views. More positives that knocked out any negatives I had. My trip would not have been as great as it was without staying here. I will absolutely be staying here again!

We loved this VRBO just 10-15 minutes away from Waimea beach. Our last 2 days of our honeymoon were spent exploring the north shore. The host went above and beyond, leaving a personalized card and gift to welcome us into this vacation rental. Wonderful stay, highly recommended!

Walking distance to beach, yes. We drove to everything else. Lots of chicken/rooster, dog, and other animal noises may keep you up at night - bring earplugs. Our place was as advertised with fridge, kitchen sink, tv, ceiling fan, two beds. We did not use the a/c. The host provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Had to get out of car to unlock property locked gate and every time we came or went. Some fruit available to pick on property: we got mango and star fruit.
