We loved our stay at Cedars. Beautiful property with ocean views out front, gorgeous mountains from the kitchen & bathroom. Access to Garage with washer & dryer, beach towels, coolers, beach chairs etc all very convenient. Designated parking spot. AC for comfortable sleep. We hated to leave!

We were so lucky to find this gem and will definitely. We will absolutely come here again if the host will have us!!! Very relaxed, the unobstructed view was to die for and the beach was not only steps away but to the left was full of sand while to the right you can snorkel to your hearts desire without having to go anywhere and fighting the crows. The unit has everything you need or would want. Historic Haleiwa is but a short drive away and if you love horses, you can go on beach rides nearby. Just, perfect -- and the hostess --- was easy to talk with and made sure we were well cared for. Best time ever. thank you!!!

This was a great place. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. There is air conditioning, but we never needed it. Lots of screened doors and windows and a ceiling fan did the trick. It was lovely sitting on the deck to have our meals, read, play scrabble. It would have been nice to have a chair or two inside. It is only needed when it rains, which it did several days when we first arrived. After that, we were perfectly comfortable sitting outside. The internet is very good, the bed is comfortable.

Perfect spring break

I had a great stay at this property. The owner and property manager were quick to respond and then step away to allow me to enjoy this little piece of paradise. Everything was immaculate and the bed was VERY comfortable. I even looked to see what brand of mattress. It said Sunset Collection. Cedar, every mattress brand has a sunset. Do you remember the brand. The best thing was the location and beautiful yard. The deck is the perfect place to take it all in. There is a barbecue grill to share. I couldn’t find a grill brush. There are all sorts of beach chairs, ocean toys, and coolers. The washer and dryer were brand new. I really enjoyed this rental and would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay in the cottage at Cedar’s property. Very cozy and convenient to hikes, Haleiwa and of course the beach. Mike, the property manager was really helpful and attentive to our needs/wants and very minimal concerns.

Exceptional Property

Cedar is an amazing host!! Once sitting on the rental units spacious outside deck, you’ll immediately feel like your at your dream rental . A beautiful manicured property , with a private beach and ocean simply steps away. Step into the rental unit , you could not ask for anything more. Tastefully decorated, an extremely clean studio , where you find everything that you may need to enjoy one of you most memorable vacations . Mine certainly was !! Fully set up kitchen , luxury king size bed, spacious tasteful bathroom and a kind attentive host . Your privacy is respected yet need anything and she’s right on it . The location is to die for and Cedar toy chest includes all the recreational amenities one could possibly ask for . Beach chairs , bicycles, float tubes and more ! I’ve found my dream VRBO, will never need to look elsewhere.

Most Beautiful Place!!!!!

This was our second time to stay at Cedar’s place. We absolutely love it!! The view from the bed & lanai are amazing! The house has everything you need. The most beautiful beach is just steps away! Cedar is the best host and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!!

Perfect location for us!

We wanted to be in Hawaii and have those island Vibes without staying in the busy touristy area of Waikiki...and Cedar's home was exactly the place to be! We felt safe, we could see and hear the ocean, everyday was picture perfect even through a brief storm. We didn't want for hardly anything during our stay and Cedar made sure she was available should anything come up. The room, kitchen and bathroom were perfect for two...great closet space, amazing shower/head, and lots of little touches to be appreciated! The paperwork on site was clear with instructions, anyone around the property including the owner were quiet and respectful, and it was peaceful to say the least. If you want a vacation where you can enjoy the island and the chaos of tourist areas, but still come home to peace and island ambiance, don't miss out on this property! Thank you again Cedar for opening your guesthouse to us!

Total Relaxing

This is a great property on the north shore, right on the beach. We often were the only people on the beach. Perfect spot for watching whales and sea turtles. The property is close to Kaena Point and albatross nesting area. The location is about 45-60 minutes in various directions to major attractions. Lots of water toys, beach towels, snorkel equipment, and beach chairs to choose from. The neighbors are very friendly. The property manager made us feel like family and was so welcoming and available for questions and information on local spots. It’s an easy drive to various North Shore beaches; Sharks Cove was one of our favorites. Old Town Haleiwa was full of food trucks and other wonderful restaurants. Cholo’s was our favorite for Mexican food, best tamales ever. Be sure to stop by Island Vintage Coffee for breakfast, excellent. The only negative was the internet, it’s sometimes slow and/or unreliable. We are already making plans for our return next winter.

Completely wonderful.

I loved my stay with Cedar on the north shore. The location can't be beat - right on the water and within a short drive to Haleiwa. Cedar is lovely - very friendly and accommodating, yet gives you your space too. The studio was perfect for what I needed - a solo trip near the water. I think it would be enough space for a couple too. Her property is very quiet, and you can let the crash of the waves lull you to bed at night. The studio has two French doors with an amazing view of the ocean, and a large patio to enjoy the peace and views. Beach access is literally right there from her front yard. The kitchen was really large for a studio and was equipped with all the essentials. Plenty of hot water in the shower and the bed is super comfy.

Perfect getaway

Everything was wonderful! Loved sitting on the lanai and watching the beautiful waves, turtles swimming by, whales in the distance, parachuters, and surfers getting towed out. Would totally recommend staying here.

A Piece of Paradise!

This property was absolutely immaculate and in a perfect location. It is better than described on the listing. We have stayed at many VRBO's in the past and have never come across such accommodating hosts like Cedar and Dave. Everything we needed from cooking supplies to day trip necessities were provided, even little booties for rocky shores. I would definitely recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed!

Relax in the North Shore area.

If you want a nice quiet place with a secluded beach and away from the crowds in Honolulu, then this is a great place to stay. The North Shore has some great places to each, nice hikes, and surf and whale watching. Wonderful artsy feel. The host has an amazing knowledge of the sea and life story.

We have booked this beautiful apartment over Christmas and New Year. We recommend this apartment to everyone and would always come back. Everything you need for a long stay is available: washing machine, dryer, big stove, coffeemachine, toaster, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, toaster, cleaning utensils, towels, bed linen, toilet paper, TV and access to all beach utensils, such as a beach chair, Bodyboard etc. The apartment is modern and it is located in a very quiet dead end street. The place is far from the hustle and bustle of tourists. However, if the traffic is good, you can cross the island in less than an hour, so you can easily go anywhere, so this was absolutely no problem. You don't have to look for a parking space at the house, you have an allocated parking space, which is great. The private access to the beach was great. On some days you have the beach to yourself. We were even lucky enough to see some whales from the balcony. We would definitely come again. Mahalo Cedar for the wonderful apartment!

North Shore

This studio was lovely! We loved the semi private beach and the lanai where we could eat dinner, drink wine and watch the distant thunderstorms! Cedar was an excellent host and gave us everything we needed, plus recommendations regarding dining and other activities. The only flaw I could see in the accommodation was that during rain storms, there was only one chair in the studio so you either sat at the counter or one person on the bed. Luckily, this was a minor issue as we were usually on the go.

Perfect Getaway on the Beach

Cedar's guest house was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon! It is on a quiet neighborhood street. The view is incredible, better even than the photos show! Cedar and Dave were friendly and helpful, but also gave us our space. The house was clean and up-to-date. She has snorkel gear, body boards, surf boards, beach chairs, coolers, and other items available to borrow. The A/C works well and keeps the upstairs comfortable. The kitchen had all the dishes and cookware we needed to prepare meals. We loved hearing the ocean each night through the screen doors. The location is not "close" to major tourist destinations, but nothing is very far away on Oahu. The view and privacy is well worth the extra few minutes in the car. We recommend this rental wholeheartedly to anyone who is looking for a quiet place off the beaten path to enjoy the beauty of Hawaii!

Perfect couples getaway.

Extraordinarily well equipped studio unit over a very nice garage in the best location on the North Shore. Steps to the ocean with mountain views out the kitchen window. You will love it!

Lovely stay, would stay here again.

This is a beautiful little place with an amazing view of the ocean. We enjoyed our stay here. Cedar has thoughtful touches - coffee, filters, sunscreen, bug spray available for your use. We would recommend this home to friends, and would definitely stay here again. It is about 40 minutes from Honolulu, and the roads are super dark at night, be careful of the roundabout as it is a bit different from what we are used to at home - it's not exactly round, and you also have to stop and yield once you are within it. We came through after dark and it was a bit confusing, follow your GPS screen.

Family Holiday

This property provided a perfect Hawaii get away on North Shore with beautiful views of the ocean and located just steps to the beach. The beach house is close to all the activities and experiences North Shore provides including Haleiwa, Waimea Bay and the Polynesian Cultural Center to name a few. The host always answered questions promptly and was more than accommodating living up to the spirit of Aloha. I look forward to visiting again and recommend this property.

Fantastic north shore rental

The rental apartment is a wonderful place to stay on the north shore. Views are amazing from the rental & even better to enjoy from her nearly private beach!! All the kitchen items necessary to fix a meal are provided. Pictures perfectly show what the rental is like. It’s even better in person. Clean & neat with fantastic view!! It’s fun to watch the skydivers from the apartment as well as the sea turtles. Cedar is extremely kind & is a wealth of great information. The other renter, Cedar, my husband & I had happy hour sunset together on the picturesque deck. Amazing wonderful evening!!
