Oso Condo- Walk To The Silos

Our condo in the historic Behrens building, and just a short walk from Magnolia Market, Dr. pepper Museum, Waco Suspension Bridge and only a mile from Baylor’s campus. The building was built by the Clifton family for the Behrens Drug Company in 1913. It was a fire-proof, concrete structure constructed to provide ample working space for employees and to keep them safe. In the 1990s it was converted to loft living spaces.

The condo is located in downtown Waco and within walking distance of The Silo District and some of the best restaurants & shopping Waco has to offer. If you are interested in activities around Baylor University like McLane Stadium, Texas Ranger Hall Of Fame & Museum, Texas Sports Hall Of Fame, you can take the shuttle that picks up just two blocks from the building. If you are bringing children, we highly recommend the Mayborn Museum or the Cameron Park Zoo.

Our condo has most everything you would have at your own home. A fully stocked kitchen, coffee makers, new appliances, comfortable bed, sleeper sofa, cozy living space and a great view of the Silos.

This is a downtown location. Occasionally you will hear the train two blocks away and other noises associated with a downtown area. Music may be heard from the downtown bar near the building as well.

Love staying here. It’s close to everything imaginable. Very secure and easy location. Great parking and very clean condos. I have stayed here 2 times and I am coming back soon. It’s nice that I can visit family and there is so much to do in the area. Easy contact with the management if needed .

Loved it

One of our stops on spring break with my husband and son to Waco for a few days. So close to everything we parked and walked everywhere for two days. First night the Silos had music that was loud but they provided sound machines on both sides of the bed and earplugs so we heard nothing. You can see the Dr Pepper museum from the balcony just a few steps across the street. The spice shopping center is just two blocks away as well. They provided all the supplies to make us comfortable as well as detergent and dryer sheets for doing laundry. My son slept in the pull out couch and was comfortable as well. Will be back on our next trip

Lovely property/ Minor flaws

My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary. We wanted to experience the culture of Waco and see everything “Fixer Upper” related. The property is very close to many attractions. Everything was within walking distance. Proximity to the attractions was important to us. Some uncontrollable problems that are of no fault of the property owner to be aware of. Freight train a block and a half away is horrible when you are trying to sleep. In addition, there was a rooftop nightclub that was obnoxiously loud late at night when we were trying to sleep as well. The property management did everything they could to assist with this. Last thing is this, if you are charging a cleaning fee to the visitor, make sure that includes dusting. If we are paying for it, there is no excuses here. Residence should be 100% spotless because we are paying for it to be that way.

Perfect Waco stay

The loft couldn’t have been better. We were especially impressed with the ease of check in. Everything was crystal clear and stress free! The location was great and we walked everywhere. Great restaurants and shopping alol around us. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Love the selection of coffee pods and the snacks left for us to enjoy. We plan to return!

Excellent location

The property was just as listed. Easy walk to Magnolia silo area. Easy walk to many places in Waco. Our stay was Friday & Saturday evenings, we did need to use the sound machines. Live music and partying someplace nearby. Sound machines were sufficient to muffle. You are downtown and there will be noise. Don’t let that discourage your stay. Very convenient location. Excellent communication with host before and during stay.

Lovely Stay at Super Convenient Location in Waco!

In town for a conference, and we couldn’t have picked a better location to stay! Conveniently located above the cutest bookshop and cafe, Fabled, are beautiful lofts that have everything you need for a short or long stay. We really appreciated the cleanliness, communication from the hosts, and all of the amenities provided. We will absolutely stay again next year, when it’s conference time again.

The Condo stay

Y husband and I decided last minute to make a long weekend in Texas because he had to work on Monday there. So he said for me to find a spot. Well, indeed I did. This cute Condo right in the downtown area close to the silos and all things food was so awesome! And just downstairs of the building was this cute little bookstore and cafe that we would come in and grab an espresso drink. Visited the Silos and a few places to eat. We took a day trip to Dallas about 1.5 hours away and worth it to tour the city and see why they had to offer as well. We will definitely be coming back to this Condo for sure. The hosts thought of everything for the stay, even the ear plugs for the weekend noise. At first I thought huh odd, but then later that evening realized why. I really dont think you need them especially if the someone that likes the background noise, and when I say background noise it was very small, and really not a big deal. But they had it ready for us. Those small attention to details is why we will come back. Thank you for having us!
