Newly remodeled modern farmhouse in a country setting. Quiet with views

A cozy house that lets you enjoy each other’s company, but yet lets you have your private time with a smart tv in each room. Easily accessible year round, with paved driveway. Quiet country setting with Mountain Views, and a fire pit for viewing the stars, hanging out with friends and family while making smores, or waiting for the fireflies, aka. (lighting bugs), to come out. Room for gathering outdoors for guest activities, or stay cool inside with the new AC. A small creek runs through the property. Enjoy relaxing on one of 3 porches with your coffee and a book or personal media, while being visited by deer and other wildlife. Near Boone, Valle Crucis, Sugar Grove, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, where you will find lots of quaint shops and a plethora of dining venues. A short distance to shopping, theme parks, skiing, tubing, biking , hiking , state parks, stream fishing, canoeing, swimming, zip lining, climbing courses, horseback riding and gem mining. A lake within 20 minutes with boat rentals available.Also convenient to many restaurants and markets. Convenient to Appalachian State sporting and cultural events. A great place to explore local arts, including murals, and crafts, or a farmers market. There are several Christmas tree farms nearby. The surrounding yard is for your enjoyment only. The adjacent 2 story building is for storage (not for occupancy). The house is easily accessed via about a "0" inch rise from the driveway to the porch and no steps to that entrance, only a threshold. Relax in a clean and cozy property with the people you enjoy spending time with, while visiting the beautiful area.

We loved the property! Very clean when we got there and had everything we needed! We loved waking up to seeing multiple deer in the front yard and seeing the cows every day across the street! This was an amazing stay!

This is the second year we have stayed at Rosie’s Roost and we simply could not rate it high enough. It is such a cute home, is absolutely immaculate, spotless and every need or want is accommodated. The rooms are spacious, decorated in great taste and the mattresses are SO comfortable (and I am a past back surgery recipient) and we just love everything about the house and the location. It is close enough to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mtn, and even Erwin, TN for daytrips of all types…for us sightseeing in the gorgeous mountains and shopping. I cannot think of anything that we needed that wasn’t provided. It is just a lovely, lovely place to stay. It is wonderful to have a morning cup of coffee in the cool, crisp mountain air every morning. I’m a country girl, so hearing cows mooing and roosters crowing is HOME for me. Martha, the homeowner is just a treasure and I am sure if we were to have needed anything, she would have quickly rushed right over. We recommend this property highly, we love it and will never stay anywhere else when planning our yearly trips and will continue to go back every October.

My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend while visiting AppState and thoroughly enjoyed our time at this perfect little cottage. Martha was very accommodating with our last minute booking request and responded promptly to all communication. We arrived late at night but found the property easily. It was so clean and tastefully decorated! While we didn’t spend a lot of time at the house we wouldn’t hesitate to book again and explore more of the area if we are here again in the future.

Wonderful Mountain Cottage

Super nice property that was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of seating, extra blankets, and even nice real plants around the house. Kind of felt like the owner left everything needed in place, cleaned it real nice and moved out for a few days to let us come visit, would definitely stay again!

We loved this house on a hillside...the cleanest home we've every stayed in, with adorable decor, all the ameneties, and a gracious host. Waking to fresh air and roosters crowing was a delight. We hope to be back!

Cozy house

Adorable home in a perfect location!

Martha was a wonderful host! The communication with her before and during our trip was fantastic. She responds to any request very quickly and is so accommodating. The house is SO cute! 3 very nice comfortable bedrooms all with their own smart tv's, a cozy living room also with a smart tv, the kitchen has everything you could need including a coffee pot and kcup maker which I made good use of and drank coffee on the porch while reading a book and enjoying the Mountain View in the morning. It was very quiet in the area and near everything we wanted to do in Boone and Blowing Rock. I couldn't not recommend this property and it's lovely host enough!

Our Farmhouse stay was amazing! Property was super clean, exactly as described, quiet and well decorated. It was perfect for our family with teens. Owner was super easy and pleasant to communicate with. Check in and out was a breeze. Looking forward to returning in the Fall.

We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities at the property and the view. The home was cozy and had all the comforts. Martha is a very pleasant host. Grandson's 4th Birthday Celebration Weekend

We rented the bungalow for my grandson's 4th birthday celebration that was held at the pool in Boone. Martha's place was clean, cozy and hospitable. I especially enjoyed all the cooking in the beautiful kitchen. It was supplied with everything even paper towels and dishwashing detergent. I had brought my own just in case. The mooing cows added the mountain country touch. I also loved the outdoor lights in the back yard. Overall, it was perfect for my family to stay through the weekend.
