In the middle of Lofoten! Unique and spacious dockside apartment.

Authentic, 210m2/2200sqf, 3 floors apartment in historic building "Schøningbrygga" from 1886. While keeping some of the original details, this light and spacious apartment is renovated to a high modern standard. The interiors are a mix of brand new and our favorite vintage findings.

You enter the apartment from street level, accessing the big hallway with plenty of space for your outerwear. Three of the bedrooms are of a large size and located here on the ground floor. The master bedroom has a custom fitted king size bed, a walk-in wardrobe, a fire place and seaview. There is another double bedroom with queen bed, extra sofa bed, and seaview. The third bedroom is located on the street side, and has a queen size bed and optional kids bed. There is also a bathroom with toilet and shower, and a laundry room with washing machine.

One bedroom is the loft (2nd floor), with access to the roof terrace. Even if the privacy of this space is more limited, as it is partly open towards the living room, this is our favorite place to sleep. There is a queen size bed, and a extra sofa bed.

All the queen size and sofa beds, down comforters and pillows, are brand new, and will be ready for you with white hotel standard bed linen and towels.

The first floor consist of a huge open living room/dining room/kitchen space, and a big bathroom with a bathtub/jacuzzi/shower, separate shower, toilet and sink. The dining table can seat 10 people, or you can eat more informally at the kitchen table.

From the windows or the roof terrace you can watch the spectacular views, the fishing boats, the seagulls and eagles.

The kitchen is fully equipped. There are two ovens (one is a steam oven), a 90 cm hob for cooking, dish washer, fridge and freezer.

This unique vacation rental is especially suited for large families, two families or a group of friends traveling together.

Centrally located on the dock in charming fishing village Stamsund, you have walking distance to two grocery stores, a café and a restaurant/bar, the "Hurtigruten" Coastal Express, as well as art galleries and no less than four theaters. You can watch the fishing boats directly from the roof terrace overlooking the harbour, or go for a hike in the mountains on the other side of the apartment.

Looking at a map of Lofoten, you can see Stamsund is right in the middle of the islands. It is the perfect base to explore Lofoten, taking day trips going both east towards Svolvær and west towards Reine. The Leknes airport is only a 15 minute drive.

Your hosts run a small farm five minutes from the apartment. We are happy to stock you up with local meats and fresh produce when in season. You can even rent our chef for a private dining experience!
