For the high rent we paid, this was just OK. We have stayed in much nicer vacation rentals for much less. Some of the negatives included: We arrived to a very dirty condo and spent the first evening vacuuming and cleaning the floors, bathrooms and kitchen; sheets for the beds are very old and stained; no clean towels were put out so we found some old towels in a closet; all the rugs in the condo are very dirty; bathtub in 2nd bathroom drains very slowly; the living room TV required registering and paying for streaming apps (no basic cable as indicated in the rental description); bedroom TV did not work at all; several wall outlets did not work; icemaker in freezer did not work and was not fixed after 3 repairman visits; kitchen has limited baking pans; no place to put purchased groceries as the limited cabinet space was full; and the noise from airport was crazy as this unit faces the airport and an unsightly parking lot with old boats and equipment. We suspect the owner is somewhat inexperienced at renting out the condo to short-term vacationers as many things appear to be neglected. A positive was the permanent residents of the condominium association were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed Venice and the variety of golfing opportunities and restaurants in close proximity. Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals was willing to listen to our concerns by communicating with us via text; however, our impression was that they are not very familiar with this rental.
