« We all had a terrific weekend at Big Fish Haus. The fish were biting really well but mostly small ones. And that’s OK cause they’re fine too. Kids had a little swimming pool and a duck wattled over and got in the pool with one of the little girls. It was great. »

« What a great property. Our family had a blast in the lake, fishing, watching movies and in the game room. We loved the lodge and the area it provided 40 of us to hang out. « Our family spent the majority of Spring Break here this week (3 nights). We had an excellent time enjoying the pool, cooking out on the patio with the grill and caught around two dozen small sheepshead (No keepers, but they were some biters & fighters!!!). The house fit our family of six comfortably and the wi-fi was fast enough that the teens could play their video games in the evenings. « The only issue was that the water from the tank on the toilet seemed to constantly flow from the tank to the bowl. I was able to fix that by just turning off the water. The wifi for the roku did not seem to work as well, but I still believe that is was an excellent stay. »

« I really enjoyed my stay here. It was cozy and comfortable…it was just as advertised. The Host was responsive and very accommodating. I arrived late and couldn’t really see the numbers of the cottage, however he answered my call immediately and guided me to my booked cabin. I will definitely be rebooking. »

« House was nice and clean. Creek was fun to fish and we caught a few baby black drums and reds back there. But mostly caught bait and a couple of crabs. A lot of gar moving at night. But dead caney lake wasn’t 2 far and we caught a nice size drum out there. There was equipment to fish and crab but we brought our own. Would book again »

« Had a family emergency and was booked for 4 days and had to leave after one night. The staff was great and worked with us on the price. Also arrived late the first night and the staff came back after hours to get us check in. They were very pleasing and willing to help. »

« The people were very friendly around the site. Check in process easy. The house is a tiny house so the beds were upstairs the air conditioning does not cool off upstairs area fans were provided but they did not work. I called the number listed to contact the owner but there was no answer. My husband and I had to build a pallet to sleep downstairs where there was some type of air. The floor was filthy and there was dog hair everywhere. The bbq pits in the pergola area are all locked, the games...

« The cabin is super cute with everything you need for a weekend stay. Very clean and quiet. The San Benard River, Dollar General, and gas station are all conveniently located within walking distance. It's an easy 20min drive to the beach. Communication was easy and everyone was very kind. Highly recommend. »

« The home doesn’t look as big as the pictures when you pull up in the driveway but when you walk in it’s as if you stepped inside Mary Poppins purse! The house is spacious and nice. Mitch is very responsive and gets back ASAP. Would stay here again! »
