« The property is located around a 10minute drive from Echuca. It has private cabins. I believe that there were other guests there however we only know this by other cars around we didnt see a single soul otherwise. You cannot judge a book by its cover and this could not be more true for these little cottages. « Lovely property, renovated (but not "restored") to high standard but modern electricals (great wifi, TV) and kitchen/baths. Spacious home, multiple eating areas, quiet street, and with a terrific host. Maldon is a charming small town and well-located to see the goldfields area. Only downside is there are only a couple of places in the town proper to dine out (Castlemaine is close). But a great place with all creature comforts. »

« Spacious separate bedrooms and 2 bathroom, modern but stylish interior renovation and wide decks front and back. Lovely kitchen and laundry also present. Comfortable beds - doonas are too hot for me and I would have appreciated having blankets, even just cotton ones, available. But that is just me and may not apply to other guests. « The Bosses Settlement was a real find and surpassed our expectations from the moment we arrived. Picturesquely located in rolling countryside, cahrmingly renovated, very comfortablely furnished (esp the beds),the Settlemnet had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Apart from the house there were so many outdoor areas to relax in, verandahs on 3 sides, beautiful gardens and a fire pit area. « We had a wonderful 4 nights in this beautiful and peaceful location. Our host was very accommodating including letting our kids help feed the animals which they loved. Our dog had lots of space to run around and we really enjoyed the alfresco dining spaces and the fire pit. We will definitely be back! »

« Check in was quick and efficient but I had to wait five minutes for a staff member to attend the desk on check out. The room was very nicely appointed, lean and comfortable. It was handy having a restaurant on site although there was nothing particularly exciting about the menu. Breakfast options are very limited as the restaurant was not open and supplies to the room are pre-packed. The gym is small with limited equipment, but very adequate. Location is great. »
