« Pecan Cottages was super cute, clean and comfortable. We had the Davey Crockett cottage for our 2 night stay while we were visiting some family we have seen for over 30 years! It was a perfect choice over a standard hotel room. Quaint and cute, the decor was well thought out and strategic. « The room was unkempt. The bedding had spots of discoloration. The wall outlet was covered with dirt and grim. The wash basin had a gross amount of dirt running down from the rim. The towels were stained as like they had shoe polish on them. We arrived late & were exhausted. We slept fully clothed, including our shoes. It took a while to adjust, but I was too tired to argue. « Bed was clean and neet bathroom sink clean bathroom clean except the walls . Walls in both rooms had what looked like food stains to the point I took photos as to not be charged like we had done that .one wall had sheet rick knocked off on a corner . What I felt like was not up to code was , no vent fan in the bathroom!! Seriously ? No vent fat ! »

« It was quiet, it was clean. The owner was nice. It was a long ways to drive for a place to eat. It is an old style motel where your entrance to your room is on the outside. For the price it was great and I felt like it was private. They are building a truckstop next door. That might change things. There are no amenities like breakfast or a pool. Which we didn’t actually need but a traveler might want to know. The price was great though! »
