Charming Cottage! - 3 Bedrooms, 4 Beds, 2 Full Baths, 6 Adults

This beautifully renovated cottage is a bright and restful retreat and the perfect basecamp for exploring the magic of the North Shore. There are restaurants, bars and coffee shops all within walking distance. Hop on the trail for a quick walk to my favorite, the Cedar Coffee shop. The Two Harbors Light House, the Harbor and Castle Danger Brewery is approximately 10 easy blocks away. The Harbor is the perfect location to watch the ships come in...

The space is perfect for 2-6 adults, and still room for the kids!

The Polished Pebble Cottage, is a two-story home built in 1931. The cottage has undergone extensive interior renovations in 2021 and is all you will need to make memories on the North Shore. Enjoy all the charm with modern amenities!

The home is professionally cleaned and has 2 full bathrooms, both equipped with Jacuzzi tubs to take your stress away! One bathroom is conveniently located on the main floor and the 2nd is located off the master bedroom upstairs. Please note that they are combination Jacuzzi tub and shower units, so you will need to step into the tub to use the shower.

- The entire house is included in this rental, except for the basement and one supply closest that are locked.
- You will be given your own custom keypad code for easy access.
- There is off street parking in alley for 2 cars. There is also unlimited parking in front of house, except during winter months.

Visit the iconic Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, Tettegouche State Park, Pink Beach and many other attractions. And don’t miss visiting the oldest Minnesota lighthouse, located right in Two Harbors! Close to all of the Duluth attractions as well.

This is a very comfortable and beautiful place. It was very clean and comfortable. They had everything we needed. We did have a lot of trouble with the front lock not letting us in so we did have to go around to the back door a few times. This is definitely place that left us with some fond memories and we would look to come back to.

Cozy North Shore Home

This was the second time we’ve stayed at this VRBO and absolutely love how cozy this little house is for family visits. The owners did a wonderful job renovating the home and providing many little nooks and livings spaces for families to hang out, play games, and relax. We loved going in the Coop at night as well!

Nice little place to stay!!

Was a very nice set up with everything you need for cooking. From a nice stove and cookware inside to a gas grill outside. All around nice place to stay! Would recommend to anyone! Very nice set up for fisher people with boats to park which is hard to find at alot of places.

Beautiful cottage!

We loved this cottage! It was clean and cozy and had so many great extra features like the outside sitting area. Loved all the gnomes placed around the house and backyard. The only thing we had trouble with were the beds. They weren’t the most comfortable. But other than that, great place to stay!

Enjoyed our stay

Pretty straight forward. We cooked often taking advantage of the fully stocked kitchen. No A/C. Luckily it was on the cooler side for most of our trip. Multiple fans allowed for air the circulate. Decor and quality of finishes was better than expected - not cheap like many short term rentals. Screened in gazebo was great! We were surprised by a skunk on more than one occasion. The owner may want to look into having someone trap it and relocate it. The only downside I can think of was that the cleaner was not finished by our 4:00pm check-in, but it wasn’t a big deal. Played some board games and there was plenty of propane to grill. Thanks for a great experience!

Cozy Cottage

The property was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was perfect for our group as we planned to cook all of our meals. The home was beautifully decorated and it was a very comfortable stay for 6 adults with 2 kids. We had 1 minor hiccup with the shower but John/Mac took care of it within an hour of contacting them. John even bought us a round at Castle Danger Brewery for the small inconvenience :) It was easy to check in/out of the property; we would definitely book again!

Overall good. Wish it was air conditioned after the heat MN has had! The toilet seat in master bedroom is very loose and would not tighten Kitchen was very well stocked we wished that all the windows would open! Thank you

Family time

For the most part we really enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice if there was A/C. The stairs were a little scary. We spent our evenings in the screened in area which was enjoyable. The neighborhood seemed pretty quiet. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals.

Two Harbors Experience

We enjoyed our stay. Immentities were fine, beds good. Bath areas good. My husband and our son are both over six foot so they would of preferrred reclining chairs. Little Girls loved the cubby area ! We had fun finding the gnomes. Think we ended up with 15 if we counted the outside ones. All in all we had a pleasant stay. Thanks !

Relaxing and convenient

Beautiful cottage, just like the pictures. We were in town for my nieces wedding on the beach of Lake Superior - Gooseberry Falls State Park. It was an awesome weekend! We grilled out, sat by a bonfire, and enjoyed family. The location is convenient walking distance to the water, lighthouse, restaurants and breweries. Great place for family and friends and making memories!

We have stayed in many houses on vacation and this was one of the best. Very clean and looked just like the pictures online. It was great for our family and had all the amenities we needed. Even better than expected

This rental is even better than it looks online. Every space is big, fresh, clean, cozy, not cluttered. Attention to detail is given for cleanliness. Clear, prompt and accurate communication by host. Excellent location for touring North Shore. About 15 minutes to Gooseberry Falls State Park. Thirty minutes into Duluth, but an easy and scenic drive. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water. Caution if you have mobility issues in your group because the stairs up to the bedrooms are a little steep and curvy and the step into the jacuzzi size bathtubs could be a stretch for some individuals. We had no problem (60 somethings). No AC upstairs if you are staying in the summer, but fans are provided and kept us comfortable. Great kitchen, modern, well equipped. We didn’t use the coop, but it looks great. Outdoor furniture is high quality, comfy cushions, clean. Two Harbors is a fun little town: good selection and variety of places to eat in town, or within 10-15 minute drive. Nice big super market less than 5 minutes from rental. We enjoyed exploring the waterfront park at the historic Two Harbors lighthouse. We highly recommend this rental and challenge all guests to find the many hidden gnomes!

Great for quiet family

Stayed a couple nights while visiting the north shore. House was clean, and as stated. Comfy, had everything we needed. Nice touch was a fun kids room under the stairs with colored lights, kept the kids busy after a long day of site seeing. Would visit again.

Fantastic Family Weekend

My husband and I along with our 2 young adult daughters spent Memorial Day weekend at the Polished Pebble Cottage. As other reviews have mentioned, the photos are true to the physical attributes of the rental. All of the bedrooms are on the second level. There was a very, very sufficient number of towels provided in each of the bedrooms for individuals to use. There was also small sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap, and lotion available in the bathrooms. The kitchen dishes, glasses, pots/pans, etc. were of high quality and met/exceeded our needs as we did "cook in" a couple times. We used the propane grill twice and again appreciated the quality of the grill and utensils provided in the basket by the back door. We took advantage of the jacuzzi tubs and there was sufficient hot water for a couple baths each day/night for individual family member's baths. It was still cool in the evenings at the end of May and we appreciated the "blankets" in the coop while using that area a couple of evenings. As far as local places, we enjoyed the coffee from White Pine Market and Cedar Coffee Company. In regards to communication, we received the check-in, Wi-Fi, check-out, etc. information ahead which was clear. Everything worked smoothly. Overall, we really enjoyed having a house to ourselves and while there are neighbors next door, they didn't appear to "be around" during our stay. Thanks for creating a welcoming home!

Girls Weekend

We had a wonderful girls weekend! The weather may not have cooperated, but we found the cottage to be very comfortable, clean, and gave us a beautiful place to hang out, talk and catch up with one another.
