The house is in a great location in Joshua Tree for a true getaway to the quieter world of the High Desert: Great basecamp for Joshua Tree NP, Pappy & Harriet’s, Integration, 29Palms USMC base or even Desert Hot Springs.
Wake up from a wonderful night’s rest in a comfortable bed, use the coffee bar, enjoy your meals or a cozy night by the fire table in private backyard. Have fun playing LP records or board games like you did as a kid or spend a cozy evening stargazing in our private backyard.

You will love having all the comforts of home with space to relax, cook, play and rest - both inside and out....stargazing in the yard, watching the sunset over the mountains from the living area, enjoying your bbq dinner in the desert air around the picnic table, playing a yard game of corn hole or sitting around the fire pit or in the hammock chair - maybe you'll even see an owl!
We aim for your comfort in all ways- we offer both firm and softer pillows (check the closet for additions) plus additional blankets (see back hallway linen/games closet).

To allow your reservation to be confirmed, please verify you have READ and AGREED to all house rules in below in your initial email:
1. Check-in time is 4pm (please do not arrive early without explicit permission, cleaners need all possible time to make our home sparkling clean for your stay) .
Check-out time is 11am (unless explicit permission otherwise has been given by host) - if you stay past 11am you agree to be charged $50, if you stay past 2pm you agree to be charged full night's stay fee, without being able to stay.

2. Please let us know if you are bringing an infant or toddler as we have one Pack n Play and one high chair we can set out for you to use during your stay, free of charge, if you let us know in advance.

3. Please note there is a non-refundable $50 fee (for additional cleaning fee) to bring up to 2 dogs. Please add the dog(s) to your reservation, which will automatically add the charge to your booking. More than 2 dogs or any other pets are not permitted.
No other types of pets are permitted due to allergies. Sorry! We love ‘em all too!!!
Dogs must never be left inside or outside, alone. This is the desert, even though the backyard is fenced, there are wild animals such as coyote and mountain lions, so we must be adamant about never leaving our dogs outside, unattended for any length of time (And it goes without saying to not leave your children unattended).

4. No more than 6 guests permitted at any time. No unregistered guest on the property for length of time. This includes daytime visitors.Prior to providing key code, we require that ALL guests (except minor children) be added to reservation via AirBnB site - we recommend you complete this step ASAP upon booking to avoid issues at travel time. Check-in info will not be provided without completion of this.

5. No parties or photoshoots are permitted.

6. Do be aware that this property has a “Ring audio/video surveillance” doorbell which videos front door area, as well as a camera in 2 locations outside the house for your security and that of the home.

7. At check-in time we ask that any item noted to be broken or not functioning correctly be reported via ABB app. This is the only way we are able to determine that the damage was not caused by your group. You agree to report any items you have damaged during your stay.

8. No weapons of any type to be brought into home or onto property for any reason.

9. No smoking, vaping or use or production of any illegal drugs are allowed anywhere inside or outside the property/nor on the grounds; $300 fee will be charged if this is noted in any way (via butts remaining, neighbors, video camera, etc.) Joshua Tree is in a fire zone and no amount of extra care can be too much.

10. We request no candles be used in the home, no camp fires to be made anywhere on the property and all fires (stove, oven, bbq & fire pit) to be used under adult supervision only and be extinguished before going to bed or leaving the property for any length of time. The desert is dry and safety is of utmost importance!

11. Please note, our home uses a septic system. As such we ask that you flush nothing more than toilet paper and know there is no garbage disposal in the kitchen sink, so please do not put any coffee grounds, bacon grease/oil or any non-liquids down any drains in the home. We appreciate you putting all trash in the bins provided as well as the used towels into the bin in the hallway closet before leaving.

12. Please thoroughly walk around the home/yard before leaving to assure you have taken ALL of your belongings (there is no guarantee anything you have left behind will be saved, it is difficult to ship them, this is not a guaranteed service and any fees from our cleaners for this additional will be passed though) as well as assuring you have disposed of any dog poop before leaving .
