Loma Vista is a private Joshua Tree retreat where outdoor living takes center stage—with space to spread out and take in the surroundings.



About 25 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, Loma Vista feels tucked away from it all without putting the park or town out of reach. That sense of seclusion comes with a little desert adventure: the final 3 miles are along maintained dirt roads, adding to the feeling that you've truly gotten away.



THE SPACE



Loma Vista is a reimagined homestead with three bedrooms, including a detached casita. There's plenty to love inside, but step outside and you'll quickly understand what makes this place special.



The outdoor space is the heart of Loma Vista. The private pool anchors long days outside—dining, gathering, watching a movie, stretching out beneath the sun or settling in under the stars—all with the open desert stretching toward the mountains beyond.

Step inside, and it's still hard to take your eyes off the desert. Glass doors draw your attention to the pool, distant mountains & seemingly endless views from the open living room and kitchen.

As golden hour rolls in, you're already in the right place. The pool, covered patio and outdoor spaces face the setting sun, giving you a front-row seat as the light moves across the desert and mountains.



Look up. The sky feels bigger here—darker, deeper & filled with more stars than most people are used to seeing.

The stargazing cabana is made for nights like this. Settle in, get comfortable & stay up later than you planned.



GOOD TO KNOW



We know the details aren't quite as exciting as pools, sunsets & star-filled skies, but they're important to making sure Loma Vista is a good match for your Joshua Tree stay. We encourage you to read through this section carefully before booking.



GETTING HERE

The final approximately 3 miles to Loma Vista are on maintained dirt roads. 4WD is not required, but expect typical desert-road bumps, washboarding and occasional ruts—particularly following rain. Take it slow and enjoy the view.



POOL HEAT

Pool heat is available for $100/day with at least 24 hours' notice. The pool can be heated up to 90°F and heating runs from 8 AM–9 PM. The hot tub is included with your stay.



CASITA + BATHROOM

Loma Vista has one bathroom, located inside the main house. From the detached casita, it’s a short stroll outside and into the main house to reach the bathroom.



POOL + HOT TUB SERVICE

The pool and hot tub are professionally serviced every Tuesday. If your stay falls on a service day, the technician will briefly access the outdoor area to keep everything clean, balanced & ready to enjoy.



FIRE PIT

The outdoor fire pit is wood-burning. Planning a fireside night? Bring along firewood + fire starters.



DESERT LIVING

Loma Vista sits in a natural desert environment, so don't be surprised if you spot some of the creatures that call the High Desert home. Keeping doors and screens closed helps keep everyone in their respective habitats.



PETS

As much as we love them, Loma Vista is not pet-friendly due to owner allergies.



SECURITY CAMERAS

Ring cameras face the road, property entrance and front door. The front door camera captures pool area. They're used to monitor the exterior when Loma Vista is vacant and can be turned off via a switch inside the home once you arrive and while you're enjoying the property. There are no cameras inside the home.



GUEST ACCESS

Loma Vista sits on 5 acres, with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the desert surroundings. You'll have private access to the main house, detached casita, pool, hot tub, covered patio and outdoor spaces, including a large fenced portion of the property.



LAUNDRY

A washer + dryer are available for guest use.



Two locked areas are reserved for owner and housekeeping supplies and are not accessible to guests.



THE NEIGHBORHOOD



Loma Vista sits on 5 acres in a quiet corner of the High Desert, where homes are spread out, nights are dark and the horizon seems to go on forever. It feels removed from the busier parts of Joshua Tree—which is very much part of the appeal—but you're still an easy drive from the park, town and some of the area's best-known stops.

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY REQUIREMENTS

Loma Vista is a permitted short-term rental in San Bernardino County. After booking, guests will be asked to complete the required county registration and renter acknowledgement forms. These must be completed before arrival and are part of the county's requirements for your stay.
