« The Grand Colonial is a great choice for a temporary home in the Herkimer area. So rich in American Revolutionary history, the old mansion is an historic relic that is kept up-to-date by its current owners. Mike was our host, and he couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We give it our highest recommendation. »

« The surrounding area looks economically depressed and we had some initial concerns about safety. Check in was easy. We were provided with two keys for the front door and room door. The house is well maintained and in keeping with original design. We stayed in the wine and roses room which is next door to the kitchen. If you like to sleep in, this is not the room for you due to breakfast noise. The breakfast was good and timely. There was a hot option (bread pudding and chicken and herb sausage)...

« Top notch place. Convenient to everything especially Snug Harbor (where we have a boat slip). Owners very attentive and onsite (restaurant below). There were no issues with the stay or the property. Defiantly coming back again. Need to see when it is available!! »

« Needed to contact property manager and wait 30 minutes for them to give us access to the room as the digital lock was not working. Also paint peeling in jacuzzi more cosmetic than anything »
