« By far my favorite rental we have ever stayed in. Both the house and the boathouse were clean and beautifully furnished. The dock was easy to navigate with a boat, and the view from the front porch was stunning. The island was very quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife all around. The house was well furnished and stocked, but you will need to bring your own shower toiletries. Boat rentals are available from Clayton Marina and include a free slip and a parking spot for trips into town. »

« The house was well kept and clean. Loved the attention to detail like extra coffee pods, trash bags, toiletries, spices, paper products, etc. Andy was great with communication and making sure our stay was pleasant. Beautiful view and location was great. Would stay there again. »

« Nice rooms for myself & friend. 1 portable heater. 3 ceiling fans. 1 standing fan. 1 cup keurig. Coffee maker. Do not do over 10 miles over speed limit on road. Lake front across road is private property only. Nice cottage. Pleasant stay. »

« We had a wonderful time at Sunset Cottage! The house is clean, comfortable and well appointed, and the grounds and scenery/views are great! We appreciated the kayaks that were available for our use and the ability to dock our pontoon boat so conveniently. Keith and his wife are fantastic hosts! It is clear that they truly care about the property and the comfort and happiness of their guests. We would stay here again and recommend to others. »

« Perfect for 3 generations with room for everyone. The back deck and yard were an awesome space for the grandkids as well as beautiful views of the river! The location was only a mile to the wedding venue at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in downtown Clayton. We would definitely recommend the Captain's Cottage! »

« We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was well appointed and clean. Daniel was very responsive. At times we had 8 family members staying at the property and we had plenty of room. We also had two dogs most of our stay. There was plenty of parking. The two bathrooms and kitchen have recently been remodeled. There were plenty of fans available. The cottage also has a window AC unit in the bedroom downstairs and one in a bedroom upstairs. There is also a mini split AC unit in the family...

« Quiet and peaceful. Very scenic view and gentle on the soul. Salt water pool was a " HIT" with our 2year old daughter. She also loved the playground and sandbox. We truly enjoyed our time together at this location. »
