« The house was a good location for us as home base while exploring from Dangriga to Placencia and beyond. We really enjoyed the breeze in the evenings on the veranda and the early mornings on the roof top. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning in the bedrooms a life saver. It was a comfortable house. The only downside was the four sets of multiple keys, especially at check-in when we were unfamiliar with everything. Seems like a small thing, but it was a challenge to navigate in the heat. »

« Blue Moon Cabana is as described in its online advertising. Very well kept with no mechanical issues. Also well provisioned with kitchen equipment and other necessities. It is not resort-like. You are in the center of the town, You will have lots of contact with the local residents. We found them to be very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I were to return to Hopkins. »

« We had seen this property when we were in Hopkins about 5 years ago and knew it was the place we wanted to stay at when we came back to Belize. « Beautiful house on a beautiful beach and lovely staff. Easy access to daily activities, or just lay on the beach. Hopkins is full of friendly people and make the tourists feel welcomed. Excellent way to celebrate a big birthday with family. »

« I stayed at this property by myself in May of 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Hopkins. The area is great for a solo traveller and I felt safe and welcome during my stay. My week started with a two hour power blackout which is apparently quite common in Belize, but Mirko quickly dropped off a battery powered lantern which was very helpful. « Way better than expected! Our family of 11 stayed a week, immersed in the culture of Hopkins, the people, the food, the beach, the breeze! The cabanas were clean and comfortable with everything we needed, The property manager attentive to our needs and request. Just happened to be there for the Mango Festival, oh what fun! The week was everything we hoped for and MORE! »

« Large rooms, great porch area with fantastic views, nice backyard for relaxing and watching the sea. Fans and air conditioning were welcome in the warm humid climate. Bikes and kayaks a bonus though the water was a bit choppy to use kayaks much. Able to swim but have to walk out a bit, A few jelly fish showed up but not many »

« It was easy to reserve this house in Hopkins in mid-July and we drove straight to it thanks to thorough directions from the house manager because there is no house number. The house manager lives nearby and she communicated regularly and was very accessible. Although the roof has a great view of the town of Hopkins, there is no roof awning or umbrella to protect one from the sun so it is a sun bathing experience! »

« It’s was amazing !!! The 3 separate buildings, a private pool, cabana , outdoor Showers & soaker tub ….it was simply the best place we’ve ever stayed !! The wildlife during the day, and the night is just absolutely phenomenal! The stars are like something you’ve never seen before in your life if you’ve never been to a place that dark. « This home and property are beautiful. However, the house requires some minor repairs (some sliders damaged, screen on the main slider torn, TV remote didn’t work). We were disappointed that there was no beach to walk and the water was murky and had lots of sea grass so not suitable for snorkeling. 4 adults had to space their showers or run out of water. The village of Hopkins has some good beach bars, but the best restaurants are in the resorts. The Hamanasi Resort is close and is excellent. The...

« Very nice house. Water was pretty shallow off shore, nice for getting cooled off. Had a couple of problems, toilet im master was clogged when we got there, but was taken care of pretty quickly. Frig decided to quit working midway thru stay, but was replace as soon as was possible since it was between xmas and new year. It was not a major problem for us except not being able to keep our beer cold. A couple of coolers and a few bags of ice got us thru. »
