The "Hoot Haus" is Quintessential Colorado!

The Hoot Haus is a quintessential Colorado condo in the HEART of Telluride's Mountain Village core! With a private balcony overlooking an open air plaza and ice skating rink, this 1 bedroom / 2 loft condo has you steps from chairlifts, shopping, dining and Telluride's best Apre' ski scene! Guests can zip over to downtown Telluride on the free gondola or walk out the front door and enjoy instant access to skiing, and the new bike park! This is a fantastic home base for making mountain memories!  

Recently remodeled with new wood floors, creative tile work in the kitchen and bath and thoughtful artistic touches throughout! Add in ample natural light and an efficient layout, this condo is ideal for relaxing after a long day making turns on the hill, exploring backyard hiking trails or zipping around on the new mountain bike park! The outdoor patio provides great views of the open plaza below and the soaring peaks above. There is a full kitchen and dining island as well as an adjacent and open comfortable living room. The main bedroom has vaulted ceilings, large windows and a massive king bed! There are two lofted lounge areas that also double as beds for the kiddos or your tag-a-long adventure friends.    



All guests in the Hoot Haus are welcomed with cold beers, sparkling waters, snacks and a bottle of wine (3 nights or more). The location of the Hoot Haus is ideal for easy Apre Adventures, coffee runs and shopping! There are numerous dining options all within a snowball's throw of your front door or ride the free gondola into downtown Telluride for a stroll down historic main street. Telluride Brewing Company's new tasting room just opened in the village core and will be your new favorite hangout in no time!

Getting Around: 
We have a reserved parking space for one car in a nearby garage (It is a short walk and not directly on premises). We will provide details prior to your arrival. This spot is at no additional cost to guests. A luggage cart is in the unit for your convenience.

If you have a second car, park in the Heritage Parking Garage (2.00 an hour) or the Blue Mesa Parking lot to unload your luggage.

Once unloaded, you can either keep your car in the Heritage Lot for $35.00 a night, move it to the Gondola Lot $25.00 a night, or the Airport Lot $5.00 a night - which requires a shuttle or Uber back.

Once settled, you can take the free Gondola into Telluride for more dining, shopping and adventure. If you’re looking for groceries or wine, you can take the market plaza gondola to stock up for your stay. Both Gondolas are free and within a two minute walk of the condo.



We also offer a private shuttle service for our guests and information on this will be sent to you in your booking confirmation.

the place itself was great, clean, upgraded and I highly recommend for single people or people without kids; lugging all of our stuff ie. highchair, pack n'play, stroller, etc down flights of stairs to the car was not ideal and I would not recommend this place for people with kids

We had a wonderful visit and stay at the Hoot Haus at Mountain Village. The location of the condo as well as the decor and amenities of the condo were exceptional. So fun to sit out on the patio or watch activity out on the turf area in Reflection Plaza. We had a front row seat for the Friday night concert. We were close to the Gondola to go to Telluride for wonderful dinners or hiking on the mountain. Luke and group provided great recommendations for places to go out to as well as perfect directions for reaching the condo.

Perfect location, love Telluride!

We loved our stay! The only 2 things to note, as the bedroom is upstairs and no AC in Telluride, heat rises and sleeping was a bit hot. They do provide fans and have a wall unit in the master it still was a bit hot. Also, the parking garage isn’t super close to the unit so that made it a bit challenging to get all of our stuff up there. Worth it though because the location was perfect on the bottom of the gondola. The hosts were great, fast and easy communication. We will come back!

Great place to stay in mountain village. Right in the middle of the village core. Easy walk everywhere. Parking was easy and very close. Ski in and out at the bottom of the stairs. Been here before and will keep coming back.

Great condo, great location

Stayed here in mid-January for a family of 4 ski trip. Wonderful, modern, well- maintained and decorated condo. Nice to stay at a place with character. Would definitely stay here again. Ski-in/ski-out location allowed us to eat lunch at the unit. Close to the gondola that took us both to Telluride town and the market for food. Only caveats are the need to carry gear/luggage up stairs to the second floor unit and up some stairs from the garage where the parking spot was. We were fine with that and a minor tradeoff for a great unit and location. And make sure the bedding arrangements work for you. All the beds were very comfortable. We used the king bed, the bed on the landing area and the loft bed.accessible via the pull down stairs. I was surprised that the food market was not crazy expensive for a resort town and easy to get to. We were unable to fit food from Montrose after flying in, so we went to market multiple times and had everything we needed! Telluride Village is beautiful.

Little Gem in Mountain Village

My family of four just returned from the Hoot Haus in Mountain Village and had an excellent stay. We appreciated all of the little thoughtful touches and the location can’t be beat! It is truly ski-in ski-out and easily walkable to so many restaurants. It fit our family perfectly. All check in details were clearly communicated and the process was very smooth and easy. Thank you! Awesome location!

This place was in a great location! Skiing in and out was so easy! Truly the only negative is that how you get to the second loft wasn’t mentioned. We have little kids. 4 under 8 and the second loft is only accessible by an attic pull-down ladder that then blocks the master bedroom. It worked for us and wouldn’t necessarily keep us from renting again I just wish we would have known so we would have been more prepared. Overall it was an awesome place.

Great spot and beautifully updated!

What worked for us: This apartment is so well done. It’s updated, clean, on the slopes and around the corner from the public gondola to town. The hosts provided almost all basic necessities and extras. It was so thoughtful! I would have rebooked. What didn’t work: the temperature is difficult to regulate in this apartment. It’s three open levels with windows in the primary room and living area. We did not use the heater (it was in the teens for two days) and were still so hot at night. We followed the provided protocol of opening windows and using fans but it was still difficult to maintain a comfortable temp in all sleeping areas. It would become cold downstairs and hot upstairs. I did ask for a missing part for the portable AC to help us maintain the temp upstairs but it was not provided. There is also so much ambient light from the square in the primary room as the skate rink stays lit all night. Add in opening the windows to let in air, and the room is so bright even with light blocking blinds. We did not sleep well on the trip. I do think most people will love this rental but if you tend to sleep hot and do not like ambient light at night, this may not be your place.

Amazing location, right on the slopes, right in mountain village

As somebody who frequents Telluride, this location is fantastic for skiing. Go right out the door to the slopes, or go downstairs for a slice of pizza, or easy access to all the other restaurants in MV. Not to mention, the gondola is just steps away. The first thing you notice is the drinks and snacks and welcome note left specifically for you, which instantly makes you feel at home. The condo is clean, updated, and comfortable. I can tell you this is a place I will stay at in future visits to Telluride, as it cant get much better than this!

Awesome Location in Mountain Village

Awesome location, true ski in/ski out, great property, Luke was an amazing host with the communication before and while we were there, and have to say we did not smell the pizza parlor downstairs. Go out the one door to mountain village, and the other door straight out to the chondola, ski in/ski out, Crazy Elk and Tomboy Tavern. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic property in the heart of Mountain Village

We loved everything about our stay at the Hoot Haus. Luke was better organized than any property manager I have ever rented from. From the quick and through communication, to the through guide of the property, Luke has th0ought through everything. The property is fantastic. So thoughtfully designed, right down to the record player and owl theme. It had everything we need in the kitchen, and throughout the house. Note, access to the loft is via a ladder, so keep that in mind if that's an issue for anyone in your party. I think the property is especially suitable for families given the 1 bedroom, but loft and sleeper sofa situation. Location is truly in the heart of Mountain Village, with the plaza it overlooks the hub of many events, including movies and live bands in the park. The parking situation was better than expected. A very short walk from the unit (once you get your bearings).

Awesome stay!

The Hoot Haus was impeccably clean and well appointed, comfortable and located in the heart of Mountain Village. Communication with the host/property manager was easy, they were accessible. The unit was confusing to find at first but a quick call to the host had us locating the property right away. We would stay again for sure!
