  • This delightful cottage offers the perfect blend of village tranquillity and seaside vibrancy, with peaceful Shaldon on your doorstep and bustling Teignmouth just minutes away. Situated in the heart of the village, it provides a true taste of local life, with traditional shops including a butcher and bakery, alongside cosy pubs and inviting cafes to enjoy during your stay all within 0.1 miles. A gentle walk of just over half a mile leads to Ness Cove Beach, a secluded stretch of sand reached via an atmospheric smugglers’ tunnel. Take the ferry or a quick drive across the river to Teignmouth, only a mile away; there you’ll find a popular seaside town brimming with attractions, from its golden beach and historic pier to family-friendly entertainment, restaurants, and lively events, making it a wonderful destination for all ages.

    Arrive via a flight of stairs from the ground floor and step into the inviting open-plan living space. Unwind on the comfortable sofas with a film on the TV or relax with your favourite book. The well-equipped kitchen makes meal preparation a pleasure, with its free-flowing layout allowing the chef to stay connected with the rest of the group. Gather around the dining table and enjoy delicious meals made with local produce. Upstairs, a family bathroom with a shower over the bath serves two charming bedrooms: one double and one king-size. The double bedroom features a small TV and Juliette balcony, perfect for listening to morning birdsong.

Les points forts : Propreté, arrivée, emplacement et exactitude de l’annonce
A nice little apartment in a good location for all amenities. The small garden area is very sweet, just a warning that if your dog or children are explorers, there is an accessible drop so keep them off the garden. The beds were very comfortable and the fan was a very welcome tool during our stay. We had a lovely time in Sheldon on the beach, in the various eateries - the fish and chips were delicious and the variety of shops. The botanical gardens were beautiful with a lovely history and well worth several visits especially if you have a dog as they are allowed to run free from the lead. Nice coffee/tea area (between 10.30 and 14.00 ish)
