The Space:

This captivating Resort offers so many exciting amenities for your family. Soak up the sunshine at the Junior Olympic pool with plenty of sun loungers. Or, if you prefer to go “native”, get your Vitamin D on the resort’s private sandy beach.

Amenities galore at Ocean Pointe: Pool with newly re opened pool bar, hot tub, tennis & pickleball courts, marina, boat ramp, beach and fishing pier, 24/7 security guard and complimentary parking for up to 2 vehicles.

The family grill master may enjoy taking their turn at one of the onsite grills, and then enjoy a barbecue at a family-style picnic tables. The little ones will enjoy the nearby playground.

After dinner, take a stroll down the boardwalk to the marina and check out the catch of the day. If you’d like to bring your own boat up to 28’, dockage is available for an additional fee through the dockmaster reservation system.

Furnished with a custom queen sleep sofa with topper, the living room provides an HDTV with cable and free WiFi, plus games and books, for your entertainment.

The cozy dining nook accommodates four and is smartly situated to take full advantage of the stunning views. Whether you are working or on vacation, this is a pretty spot to be!

A fully equipped kitchen boasts new stainless steel appliances, with plenty of storage and counter space. Here, you can create anything from a simple cup of coffee to a full gourmet meal.

The Master bedroom features a queen size bed, while the convenient and colorful bathroom is just outside the door.

Guests at Tiki Time also enjoy the convenience of an in-unit washer/dryer. Please note that as this is a residential hotel, housekeeping is on a weekly basis. Additional cleaning can be arranged for a small fee by contacting the local vacation rental company

Guest Access:
Each reservation comes with two spaces for car parking. You will get a unique door code to access the condo.
Boats and bot trailers are only allowed by paid reservation.

As the only reef system in the U.S. is right offshore, it doesn’t get any better than this!

The area is absolutely chock full of things to do- John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the nation’s first underwater park, art galleries, Theater of the Sea, the History of Diving Museum, nature trails, kayaking, paddling, Cruisin’Tikis, Robbie’s of Islamorada, Dolphin Discovery, Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary, the Turtle Hospital- the list goes on. Not to mention all the colorful Keys eateries, a meadery, microbreweries, bars, fresh seafood, authentic Cuban cuisine, and more. No visit to the Keys is complete until you have tried a slice of our famous key lime pie- yum!

Drive in either direction and you can find yourself in the pulsing excitement of Miami, the otherworldly beauty of the Everglades, or the famous “Conch Republic”, Key West.

Please note that for gym lovers, the Mariner's Hospital extensive gym/rehab facilities are less than a mile away and a day pass is $15 and a weekly pass is $25.

Getting Around:
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
If you are arriving via car and have a GPS / SatNav system in the car, please use 500 Burton Drive, Tavernier, Florida as the address. If you do not have a GPS device, you can find us from the mainland by taking the Florida Turnpike south to Exit 4 - Homestead/Key West. This is the Turnpike Extension that will connect you to Route US 1 in Florida City, which takes you through the Keys to Key West at the very end of US 1.
Please be aware that speed limits throughout the Florida Keys are strictly enforced. Driving Route 1 to Key West is one of the most beautiful drives there is. Please be especially careful through the Big Pine Key area as this is a Key Deer Refuge. Speed limits are reduced in this area. You can reach Ocean Pointe by following Route 1 south from Homestead, over the 20-mile causeway, past Key Largo and making a left onto Burton Drive at mile marker 92.5, just before the Circle K convenience store and Dairy Queen in the median. Ocean Pointe is approximately half mile down Burton drive on your right. Please excuse us as we undergo renovations for a new gate house.

GETTING HERE WITHOUT A CAR
We understand that some of you will be traveling without a car. We would not recommend this, as there are many places to visit, and it could be significantly more expensive. Ride share apps such as Lyft and Uber are available in the area. Some possibilities to explore:

KEYS AIRPORT SHUTTLE provides daily door to door shuttle service to and from Key West & the Florida Keys & Miami & Ft Lauderdale airports.

The GREYHOUND KEYS SHUTTLE has daily scheduled departures from the Miami Airport to all areas in the Keys.

CAR PARKING
Parking is provided for two cars on site and is easily accessible to our unit. Please be aware that all guests must be registered prior to coming, and the plate numbers of cars provided.

Other Things to Note:
Nature:
We pride ourselves on our mangrove and nature conservancy area. We are home to many native species, ospreys and other birds, and a feral cat colony, all protected in the Keys. The feral cats and wildlife do not interact with guests, spending most of their time in the mangroves or sunning themselves at the edge of the conservancy. We ask your help in maintaining the health of our wildlife by NOT feeding them unnatural food sources. Feeding is strictly prohibited and fineable. Wildlife is looked after by local authorities.
